“Off the beaten path”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 January 2014

My hub and I popped into Miss Hattie's on a recent visit to San Angelo. I read somewhere that you had to go into the adjoining jewelry store for tickets so we did - tours were running every hour. We were actually the only ones on our tour and our guide was ok - she basically just reiterated the info that was posted in each room. I read online something about a tunnel and a bank but she never mentioned that during our tour. It was still pretty cool since the architecture of the bordello was still original (floors, ceilings, some fixtures and furniture i.e., all the beds). It definitely has the potential to be more than it is - maybe have some music playing from the period or something like that to make it a little more realistic. Still was worth the visit!

“Miss Hattie's Bordello”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 December 2013

The tour is fun and loaded with information. It was particularly interesting to learn that Miss Hattie's girls went to church each Sunday and that there was a tunnel leading from the bank next door where the gentlemen could go into the bank to make their deposits, visit Miss Hattie's girls then exit through the bank.

Miss Hattie's is a great experience for everyone in the family. You can learn a little about the old western days. I really enjoyed my time here. Hope everyone gets a chance to visit.

“Blast from the Past”

Another great place to visit in San Angelo. Started at Miss Hattie's Cafe. Had a really good burger and the Steak Stackers were amazing (cowboy meals - put the West at your table). Then toured Miss Hattie's Bordello and it was so interesting to see all from the early 1900's to 1952. Ask Haley as your guide, she was great.
