If you are in Sanderson, Texas, this is a great place to eat. Never gotten a bad meal here, and it's the only place in town to get authentic Mexican food. It also makes great, hand-formed patties for its hamburgers...just ask for the Eagle Burger. Just be careful...it's so big you may not have room for fries or dessert! The place fills up pretty quickly, so you better get there before the dinner rush.

We were in Sanderson recently looking at property and went to this restaurant exclusively. Food was just great from the hamburgers to the enchiladas. Service could not have been better. Coming from Dallas this restaurant is an oasis in West Texas. We will be back for more.

We stopped by this place in summer 2009 on our way crossing the US. We were heading to Alpine and felt hungry. On the road were not many options and this place looked good enough.
It's a pretty small restaurant with only a few tables. It's kind of an old-school diner...but looks a little older and smaller.
But it was more about the food than the looks. And the food was really good here! Service was nice and the food was obviously freshly cooked. We ordered a mexican plate, a Jalapeno Burger and fries. All for good prices.
The Mexican plate was quite good, nice beans and rice. The meat was flavorful, but had some chewy pieces.
The Burger might not have been the biggest I've ever had, but the meat was nice and tender and the Jalapenos really spicy. That's what I wanted.... a truly good Burger. Fries were still hot and crispy.

So all in all this was a good choice... and if you're around here and feel hungry, this place sure won't let you down.
