The food is great, the presentation is lovely, and the wine is good!! The people are very friendly - we really enjoyed going there - you should, too.

“Flavorful and refreshing food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 June 2013

The hummus and sauces at Zeste is delicious! We enjoyed hummus plate, with a large portion of warm fluffy pitta bread, gulf shrimp in ajtzar sauce -- the roaste red bell pepper sauce is so fragrant, the wonderfully sliced lamb sausage along with other tapa dishes. It was a very enjoyable meal. My favorite was the sangria, refreshing after 6 hr drive,

Highly recommend Zeste if you want a change from burgers and fried food.

“Always the food highlight of our trip”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 June 2013

Every year on our summer trip to Padre, it is tradition to have tapas at Zeste on one of our last nights on the island and we are never disappointed! Whether we are a group of 6 or 12, there is something for everyone and the service is outstanding! In fact, we have had the same wonderful waitress for the past three years (wish I could remember her name). The chef is out and about and happy to talk with you and his food is some of the best you will eat. That's saying a lot coming from a group of Aggies because he is always wearing his burnt orange cap;) I can't even choose a favorite dish-everything is so unique and wonderful-try as many as you can! Oh, and the wine selection is great and reasonably priced. Just a fabulous experience every time!

“A taste of home”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 June 2013

We stopped in here for a lite dinner with our 11 & 14 year old girls. We all felt like we were back in Seattle! There was a good selection of wines, fantastic small plates, everything was fresh (not fried, which is hard to find on the island) and delicious!

“Great Food but when are you open?”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 May 2013

I went to Zeste's and had a wonderful dining experience. A welcome change to the mexican/seafood fare on the Island. My only bummer is that I never know when it is open. They could really use a simple neon sign in the window to indicate this. As some reviewers have mentioned the portions are small but that is only if you compare it to the overly huge meals you get in Texas that turns you into a blob. Also - the ingredients are high quality..if you got a Texas size portion you may complain about the price. My suggestion to other diners is to eat slowly...more european style...or have PB & J before you go.
