Description: Sea Ranch Restaurant has been serving South Padre Island visitors for over 35 years, and has established itself as the island’s premier dining destination. If you haven’t spent an evening at the Sea Ranch Restaurant, you haven’t truly experienced South Padre. Our menu is comprised of local seafood that is caught directly from the Gulf of Mexico, and it changes often based on what is in season. Every item is made with high-quality ingredients, from unbeatably fresh seafood to juicy steaks and hearty pastas. Start your meal off with our Ahi Tuna or Escargot appetizers, or try something a little spicier like our Stuffed Jalapeños. For your main course, pick from one of our countless seafood items including fresh fish, crab legs, shrimp, oysters, lobster and scallops. Our house specialty is the Red Snapper, which has become a customer favorite as well. If you aren’t in the mood for seafood, try one of our delicious grilled steak, chicken or pork dishes. We also have decadent pastas, from chicken or seafood Alfredo to Scott’s Shrimp Scampi served over angel hair pasta. No matter what you are in the mood for, we have a tasty, fresh option for you at Sea Ranch Restaurant.Seafood goes perfectly with wine, so we boast an extensive selection of wines. With over 122 choices ranging from $20 all the way to $500, we have the perfect choice to compliment your meal. If you have an event coming up, consider hosting it at the Sea Ranch. We can accommodate up to 77 people for anything from weddings and receptions to birthdays and meetings.

The food here is good enough. Most of the plates are overpriced. The special wasn't very special or good.
The appetizers are their best items: oysters Rockefeller, ahi tuna, and raw oysters. The snapper throat in the appetizer menu is really good.
Coconut shrimp on dinner menu is good. If you like clam chowder, that is also good.

So glad you've been able to try so many of our menu items, Ginalaur. Our kitchen always uses the best ingredients, so I'm glad to hear you're a big fan of our fresh seafood. While we do our best to keep prices as low as possible, the high quality ingredients do transfer to the dish's price as well as the delicious taste. Thank you very much for your honest feedback. I hope you'll come back soon to give us a chance to earn that 5th star.

All the best,
Bob Friedman, Owner

The freshest tuna I have ever had, I could eat it all day long!

Although it is a bit on the pricier side, it is arguably the best restaurant on the Island and worth every penny. If you don't have a lot to spend at least go sit at the bar and have a martini and an appetizer portion of the tuna. I promise you will not be disappointed!

I love the decor of Sea Ranch. It is gorgeous. The ceilings are painted like the Gulf and there are wooden, carved fish dangling from the ceiling. My eyes were constantly drawn to the ceiling as I ate. Of course the view also demanded my attention. We sat by the window with a view of the marina. This restaurant is pricey but the food is delicious. There were so many wonderful choices, it was hard to choose. The service was incredible. My daughter ordered the King Crab Legs, which definitely are not our favorite crab legs because of their hard pointy shells, which can make getting the meat out quite painful. However this restaurant made it extraordinarily easy as they cut the shell of each leg making it easier to pry open. The crab legs were delicious but it wasn't served with real butter. That was disappointing. I ordered the Seafood Alfredo. The meals were served with warm bread and choice of salad or soup. We also ordered the Deep Heat appetizer, it was amazing.

So glad you and your daughter enjoyed a nice meal with us, Marjean. We know how difficult it can be to eat King Crab legs so we're glad our prep style help get right to the meat without pricking your fingers. I'm pleased you enjoyed the warm bread and Deep Heat appetizer. It's also great to hear that you loved our view and decor. Thanks so much for stopping by. We hope you'll come back again next time you're visiting!
