In Houston on business. Was taken to this place by a family friend. It was my first experience of this concept and I was rather sceptical of trying it out, mainly because you can't blame anyone but yourself if you don't like what you're eating!! For those of you who are unaware of the concept of the place, it's a "make your own stir-fry". You first pick out your meat and seafood, followed by the vegetables, then out to the spices and finally the sauce.
You pass them over to the stir-fry counter with your choice of noodles or rice. The chef cooks the dish and it is seved at your table.
I chose chicken with shrimp and fish, veggies (onion, peppers, broccoli, corn and carrot), cumin, thai spice, a cocktail of peanut, barbecue and hot sauce and requested rice. The meat was juicy and the seafood tasted fresh and I was pretty pleased with my effort!!
I was quite pleased with the experience and will certainly repeat it again.
The place was surprisingly less crowded for a Friday evening. Service was efficient, the restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was casual; just the sort of place you would like to go with family. I felt that it was resonably priced at $10.99 or thereabouts.
I don't think one can go too badly wrong with the spice and sauces. Just let go of any inhibhitions and give this place a try.
