I've been staying at the Sugar Land Marriott for many years. The staff is top notch and I've always had a great stay there. They have always responded cheerfully to any special needs and they pride themselves on doing a good job. The concierge room is great for morning breakfast and Olga always has a smile and greets all the guests cheerfully. I have no complaints, only complements for the staff. I wish them all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

We spent 2 nights here Thanksgiving weekend. The hotel was very clean, attractive and located right in the middle of everything that is Sugarland. The staff was friendly and accommodating/

What a treat! The hotel was wonderful; exceptional location, a block away from First Colony Mall that has EVERYTHING; rooms extremely clean and comfortable; staff courteous and friendly, with lots of good advice for the visitor. Hotel is near some of the best fun spots in Sugar Land, and parking is free. It is a 10 minute walk to a giant mall with everything you could want in the way of shopping. The hotel has a great health center (gym) on the third floor, but I can't comment on the pool - didn't use it.

Room Tip: Try to get a room overlooking "the Square" - it is really a fun place.

My fiance and I stayed here 3 nights in November. We got into Sugar Land early (wanted to miss the traffic) so we were relieved the hotel had our room ready. The rooms are large, almost too large. The TV was almost too far away from the bed to watch so we just moved the chairs in front of the TV to watch shows. The beds were a little too firm for us but we slept well enough. We were placed in a room next to a kids hockey (I think) team and they were loud every morning in the halls (slamming doors and yelling at each other), but I don't think the parents were really worried about controlling their kids (more on this later.)

This hotel is in a great location. It is easy on and off 59. And one morning we decided to get up go to Galveston, it was a quick trip down Hwy 6 (we returned on 45.) There are shops and restaurants of all kinds within walking distance. We walked to dinner every night in the Town Square and had Starbucks for breakfast one morning. Skip the room service breakfast. We ordered ours for Sunday morning and when it came the food was cold (eggs, toast, bacon) and our juices were warm, nothing was very tasty either.

The best part of this hotel are the bartenders in Denim's. We wanted to watch the LSU/Bama and Arkansas/South Carolina games Saturday night and they made sure both were on the TVs. They were friendly and even when the bar got busy, they made sure we were taken care of. One complaint about the TVs though, no sound! When people go to a bar to watch football, they want to hear it. I really wish management would allow sound on the TVs during games. Back to the hockey team; while we were in the bar watching the games, a group of the hockey parents and kids came in. They sat directly infront of one group trying to watch the game (they eventually had to leave to watch it in their room) and starting pulling out togo boxes from another restaurant and their own beer!! So not only were they not paying for food or alcohol in the bar, their kids were running around like crazy standing infront of TVs and at the bar. The kids kept the bartenders busy getting them root beers, while paying customers were waiting. I know the bar is open to everyone but I think people should have a little respect when their kids are running around. If it hadn't been for the hockey team and their parents, the trip would have been perfect.

One other thing that bothered us, there was a guy always creeping around the hotel. He was always wearing a hoody or something so he didn't look like he worked there. But we would run into him everywhere, in the parking garage, outside smoking, coming in or out of the hotel. He would sometimes just walk in the lobby, look around, then turn around and walk out. If I had been by myself on a business trip, this would have made me very uncomfortable. I think management should pay attention to things like this.

All in all, great place to stay. I don't think you would ever have to leave the Town Square area.

There is so much going on in the plaza where this hotel is located that you will be entertained fully with all sorts of restaurants, shops, bars, etc. within walking distance. I was even able to watch a movie on the big screen television on the plaza from my room.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the plaza

Olga who greets me each morning in the concierge lounge is a wonderful way to start the day. She remembers the travelers who are there at least a few times a year and knows what you like for breakfast.

We came it town for a wedding and were really pleased with this hotel. The rooms are very clean and staff is very polite. We made some special requests for the room and the staff took care of it before we got there. I would defintely recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to the Sugarland area.
