“Meeting Street @ The Woodlands TX”
Reviewed 7 August 2014

This is a must see when visiting the Houston TX area. This is located northwest of Houston. The Woodlands is better than Sugarland. If you are a shopper and enjoy great dinning...this is your place. Note to self....Bring MONEY! I will return just to be lazy and people watch. Enjoyed every minute of my stay. Great job Woodlands!!!... wish I could live there!

“Very cute and small town feel...but....”
Reviewed 22 July 2014

I love the small town feel with outdoor shopping. You can park and meander through Market Street Square. There are plenty of boutiques, several restaurants, and even a movie theater. There are several street to walk around through. It is not just one street or square.

There are several various priced restaurants. The "boutiques" are on the higher end price wise. Although, there was a Charming Charlie's. The other stores are NOT outlets. So by higher-end, I mean expensive. Even their sales were expensive.

Other than not really being able to shop, it was a nice experience....Walking through the square. At night, the lights come on. Most stores are closed so it really gives you that small town feel.

The woodlands Mall is across the street once you exit Market Street square...plenty of shopping there.

“The Woodlands, Market Street and The Mall near Houston”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

Market Street in The Woodlands is a unique open-air square for shopping, dining, day spa, or seeing a movie, with a place for kids to play on the grass or in the fountain behind Tommy Bahama's. Watch for high-end sports cars cruising the square.

My favorite shop is Maggie's Boutique, offering beautiful upscale decor at the front of the store, and unique ladies' clothing, jewelry and shoes in back. Numerous other shops, include Michael Kors, Marmi shoes, a Tommy Bahama store and restaurant, Tiffany's, Brooks Brothers, and Vinyard Vines to name a few.

Casual and dressy-casual dining includes Jasper's, a sleek spot for steaks and chops with great outdoor seating to see and be seen. Don't miss the fries with melted Roquefort cheese. The Pot Belly Pig for great sandwiches, the always excellent LaMadeline's French bakery and bistro for lunch or dinner, and again the Tommy Bahama restaurant (try the Coconut Cloud Martini), good food and live music.

Take a break at Starbuck's or Jamba Juice which share a nice outdoor space. Let the children run on the grassy central mall or play in the fountains day and night in back of Tommy Bahama's. See a movie at the theater. Check for special music, art, or holiday events on Market Street.

The contemporary Bella Rinova Salon and Spa has some of the best hair stylists and colorists in the Houston area, as well as excellent spa services. HEB grocery is at one end of the area offers gourmet house-made foods.

Across Six Pines road is The Mall and access to another movie theater and The Waterway. The Mall has Macy's, Dillard's and Nordstrom's (opening Fall 2014). Take the water taxi (access by valet parking) to one of the many indoor/outdoor restaurants and more fountains for playing. Grimaldi's Pizza is fantastic. Morton Steak House for lunch or dinner.

Check out the storybook maze at the nearby library with another open grassy area for kids to run around.

To get to Market Street or The Mall from Houston, take The Woodlands exit off of I-45, turn right on Six Pines (about 1/4 mi from I-45). Market Street is on the left, the Mall is across the street on the right.

“Wide ranging restaurants and entertainment options”
Reviewed 26 November 2013

Many good restaurant options, one of which is Jaspers whose lovely aromas seem to fill the entire area. Two cinemas, boutique shopping, upper-end grocer, high-end grocer with terrific walk-in beer chiller and cooking classes, library, CW Pavilion, large mall, 2 great hotels, the list goes on and on - all within walking distance. Then there's the Waterway next door with more excellent restaurants and a couple decent pubs.
