The Cotton Palace offered amazing hospitality! The rooms were gorgeous and the gourmet breakfast delicious! However, nothing surpassed the conversations with Becky and Dutch. I would highly recommend The Cotton Palace for a fabulous stay in Waco!

This was was second visit to the Cotton Palace in Waco, Texas. The home is beautiful, the food is outstanding but Becky and Dutch are the soul of this place. Just delightful, good people. I took my entire family plus 3 year old grandson, and we all had a good time. There are many fun, family activities to do in and around Waco. The Homestead Colony was our focal point; but we also enjoyed the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and the Dr. Pepper Museum. Baris Restaurant is a great family place if you love good Italian food at a great price! I will be back!! Nancy Herring, Fort Worth, Texas

Becky and Dutch were great hosts for our family. Breakfast was a treat each day, the room was comfortable, while providing a great escape for the weekend.

Loved the stuffed French Toast with Blueberry Sauce.

Becky was ready to provide us help with whatever we asked.

We will definitely will stay at the Cotton Palace B&B when visiting Waco.

Room Tip: Eren's Suite is large and comfortable; providing a great escape.

I chose The Cotton Palace because I wanted a place near the center of town on a recent trip to Waco, and this turned out to be a most fortuitous decision. The room (Amanda), the house, and the grounds are very comfortable; breakfast (and cookies) were delicious; and the hospitality was superb. The only problem we encountered with our stay at The Cotton Palace was that our itinerary allowed us only one night there. To best appreciate this extraordinary B&B, I would recommend staying two or three nights. We will definitely return.

My husband took me on a mystery trip for my birthday in Feb 2012, telling me only that we would arrive in Austin for a birthday dinner with our son and his family. We left late the afternoon before and were more than half way to Waco, when he revealed that we would be staying at the Cotton Palace on the first night of our adventure.

This is a lovely old home in Waco proper, just a few blocks south of the downtown area. It was built in 1910 and only converted to B&B back around 1999 / 2000. The staircase to the second floor is a good five feet wide, welcoming guests to the four main bedrooms on the upper floor. The rooms are all roomy and delightfully decorated. Each room has a private, spacious bathroom.

When we arrived our host, Becky Hodges, welcomed us and gave pointers for dinner options. We took her up on "Diamond Backs" which turned out to be an excellent suggestion. Becky also allowed that her 88 year-old dad would probably be around in the morning to visit with us at breakfast... as is his custom most days. That sounded fine with us. Well, a great stay at a wonderful B&B became and OUTSTANDING stay when "Dutch" showed up to wait on us at breakfast the next day! Turns out that he and Becky's mom are part owners of the B&B and he's been coming over for the past 12 years to work as the "waiter in training!' He was an absolute delight to visit with and we spent the better part of two hours at the breakfast table. If you stay at the Cotton Palace... make sure that you don't miss breakfast. The food is excellent and the conversation delightful.
