“Nice and new hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 July 2012

This is probably one of the most comfortable hotels that I have stayed at recently. The rooms are clean and spacious and I love having a full kitchen with a living area and a seperate bedroom. There are grills with tables outside by the pool area. The staff is very helpful and friendly. A full hot breakfast is served with plenty of space and seating. I am very impressed with this hotel.

I always stay here on business : 4 times a year at least. Rooms quiet, and really nice. Hotel is newish and it shows. Big rooms: even the studio one, which is the smallest, is nicely divided up between sleeping, living and kitchen. There was Tazo tea in the room for my nightcap. Staff helpful, cozy bed, great breakfast, what more could you ask for? Only caveat was maids not always consistent in noticing what needs replenishing.

Room Tip: Top floor does hear wind on windy nights.

I'm a big fan of the Homewood Suites concept and this property did not disappoint. Comfortable, spacious, and clean, with excellent, attentive staff. The only complaint would be the TV reception in the room; lots of ghosting and poor quality of signal on the HD stations. However, I would return.

Rooms were large and comfy. Breakfast and dinner were great. We saved so much not eatting out. The staff was attentive. Only misstep was we did not get adjoining rooms, even though it had been request in advance. I would stay here again.

Very nice hotel. Especially enjoyed the fact that the front desk gave my wife and I a room with a view of the "lake" in the back of the hotel. Breakfast was plentiful. Room was big and spacious. Only knock was that our room keys kept going out and we had to keep getting them re-activated.

I travel almost weekly for business, so have seen some good hotels - and stayed in a lot of dives. I have three criteria for a good hotel: clean/new, protein (vs. just carbs) for breakfast, and decent towels. This Homewood Suites is just three years old, so it is new and well kept. The fitness center adheres to the regular Hilton standards, with a full set of free weights, C/V equipment, and also a 'ball/mats'. And breakfast includes good protein, not just inexpensive carbs. The service staff takes the time to know your name and goes out of their way to serve (the manager , Kary, is in the 'family's business', and it shows). We stayed here for four nights, so I know what I'm talking about - I'll go out of my way to stay again - it's worth it (we had stayed at a different property across the street from Baylor's campus for convenience, and I regret that because it is so run down and outdated).

Room Tip: All are suites and have kitchens - such a bonus for more than one night

Hard to find; hard to get to; pretty isolated from everything. But the hotel is well run and the staff is helpful. We were just stopping by for one evening, but we enjoyed our stay.

Room Tip: Chuy's, the only restaurant in walking distance, serves great Mexican.
