Our one bdrm was really large. Ample bedding and supplies. Coffee maker had extra filters for the week. We were on the bottom floor and the upstairs guests floor would "creek" with every step they made. Bed was hard (very firm). Patio was right on the lake. I caught a 20" channel catfish and hooked up a couple "too big for my tackle" grass carp. Hardly anything around the area. Helpful staff.

This condo exceeded our expectations. It was very clean and every thing was in order when we arrived. We have enjoyed the view from the deck and seeing the ducks & birds flying around. They have activities and we went to movie night which was great. The pool looks great but the temp isn't quite warm enough to use it. The neighborhood is really nice to walk around to get some exercise. This is a great time of year but when the weather is warmer there will be alot more going on. I would come here again if we are ever back in this area.

Travelers included 2 Seniors, 1 Adult, and a Toddler. The pictures on the internet don't do the place justice, it wound up being much nicer than the pictures depicted to me. Very well stocked from kleenex to dishwashing liquid, pots, pans, cutlery and everything you would need to run a normal household. Keep in mind that this is a timeshare and there is no housekeeping unless you pay extra for it. On Wednesdays they will exchange your old linen & towels for clean fresh ones but you have to bring your items to their laundry center for the exchange. The place was pretty clean but the furnishings could have used either new covers or some good old fashion steam cleaning. One of the couch cushions had a giant stain on it, and our original sofa bed mattress was badly stained so we just requested another. Surprisingly the sofa bed turned out to be pretty comfortable sleeping. I found the rooms to be spacious. It is an old place, a throw back to either the late 70's or 80's but the staff there do their very best in upkeep. Any request for maintenance was met in a timely fashion...we did not have to sit for days or hours and wait! The location was great, sitting right on the water but keep in mind that in Aug/Sept when we went it was so dog gone hot that use of the beautiful balcony was not an option. It was great to peer out over the water but that had to be done early morn before the sun was fully out and the heat really set in. The AC in the room was very good, we wound up turning it down or off because it had gotten a bit chilly for us, although the nighttime outside temps were pretty high. Take your insect spray which you will need most definitely at night, just like near any body of water the mosquitos are abundant especially at night. They had much to do in the resort but again spent so much time touring in Houston didn't have time to take advantage of the local stuff. Plan on an hour to 2 hours' driving one way to reach your tourist attractions (especially during rush hour traffic), so proximity to attractions is not close but with the decent fuel prices it was bearable. We got the week for a song and a dance through EndlessVacationRentals.com so all in all I cannot complain not one bit. Would we come back again....I would hope so!

This resort is on Lake Conroe, a large, man-made lake 40 miles north of Houston. We are an active retired couple and used the unit as a base for bicycling in the area.
Let me start by saying that my standards for an RCI exchange are pretty basic. My primary requirement is the location. After that if it’s clean, everything is in working order, I can cook a simple breakfast, AC/heat is comfortable and the bedding is as advertised, I’m satisfied. The Landing fulfilled all of these requirements.
The unit was a little dark downstairs but the upper bedroom had windows facing the lake and a nice, large bathroom. We chose to sleep upstairs even though the jetted tub was in the lower bedroom. The bedding/linins were simple but comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. Everything was clean although a little worn with some stains. The best part of the unit is the deck, which overhangs the lake. It wasn’t as private as I would have liked but it was still very nice to sit out and watch the birds and boats.
We did not use the pool or hot tub. The hot tub’s location was appealing as it was located on a deck right on the lake. At the time we were staying there were no activities. There may be more when it’s high season.
The resort is located in a large residential development. There was no dining or shopping on or near the resort. We had to drive several miles to get groceries or go to a restaurant. Willis is a small town and there isn’t much besides touristy restaurants and strip malls in the surrounding towns. Other than the Lake itself, there isn’t much to do or see in the immediate area. We drove to some of the nearby state/national forest parks and bicycled in those areas. We rented a pontoon boat for a day, which was very nice and relaxing that time of year. Although it’s technically close to Houston, Houston is a very big city and the resort it is pretty far from some of the attractions, especially those related to NASA.
We visited in early spring. The lake was quiet, and we had perfect weather. I’m not sure I would want to be there when the hundreds of motorboats hit the water and the temp is in the 90’s but for us, in late March is was a nice stay.

We had a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo right on Lake Conroe. The balcony over Lake
Conroe was wonderful - very relaxing to have coffee out in the morning and just
relax in the evening. We were there for a golf tournament - course only about 10 minutes
away. It was great. King size beds in both bedrooms. One is upstairs with a huge bathroom. The other is downstairs with a jacuzzi tub. Kitchen a little small, but very well
stocked - worked great for us. The only thing on site was a couple of pools and a
hot tub, but a good place to stay to just relax, tour the area, or play some golf. Enjoyed
watching the ducks every morning.

The only reason we stayed at this resort was for the location on the lake with a private balcony for fishing. Never again, at least from this company Vacation Resorts International.

This resort does not deliver to silver class quality. Just look at how so many units are available and the ease to get this resort. They try to cut expenses at every corner and could care less about the satisfaction of their vacation guests. Fees galore. It is on a lake so prepare for bugs and filth, and in our case a cockroach in the bathroom. Balconies are a mess and covered in spiderwebs. No mid-week cleaning as common at other resorts - Expect to pay $45 if you want a cleaning. Make sure you bring both room keys with you, because these faulty keys easily deactivate even away from your phones, and they have no problem charging $50 + time waiting to back into unit + guilt trip from lady having to wake up her kid and come out and help you after hours while you sit around wasting time. They try and pawn off this fault on the guest, when in turn the guest is being the one inconvenienced, because the fail to want to pay for adequate staffing hours to properly assist guests. Definitely would not recommend wasting a vacation here. They clearly do not value their guests and or their opinions on all the setbacks of this resort. After contacting the parent company VRI, I would probably never stay at any of their resorts just based on their outlook on the business, lack of concerns with their guests, and overall unprofessional. Perhaps the surveys at checkout would be more honest if the receptionist does not stare you down as you fill it out, and then grab and read it as soon you put it down.

We held a wedding at the Seven Coves Clubhouse and booked 15 rooms at The Landing. All rooms were ready for an early check-in and very clean. The front desk staff were very accommodating and helpful. Fishing from the balcony was great and theres not a prettier place to watch the sun rise and set than from the balconies at The Landing.
