Based on the rave reviews, we booked the Lavender Cottage for a long weekend to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and are so glad we did! The cottage was lovely - looks just like the photos. Feeding the deer by hand was a new experience that we won't soon forget. We can't wait to return to Wimberley and the Lavender Cottage!
Easy check-in, beautiful cottage, well-equipped, view is amazing, loved feeding the deer & watching them. Owner, Jan, is accessible & accommodating. Location is convenient to wineries, Wimberley Market Days, & restaurants, etc.
We had a great time during our stay. The Lavender Cottage was in a beautiful setting. The cottage was clean and well equipped for our stay. The location was perfect to see all the sights in the area. I highly recommend staying at the Lavender Cottage when in the area.
Clean and quiet cottage just a few miles outside of Wimberley. Easy enough to find (good directions from the owner) and easy to get to. There was a fresh loaf of really good banana nut bread waiting for us on the counter (thank you!) and the key for the place on the table.....check in was simply walking into the cottage and grabbing the key. As others have said, the deer here are a blast! They come right up to the porch and eat right out of your hand. If you don't like that idea you can simply toss the corn out in the yard and watch them eat from the comfort of the porch. We also saw a fox and some squirrels while there. (Just a note, there is no wifi. Not a big deal but be prepared.) In short, a very nice weekend get away! Thanks again, Jan!
It is very nice and quiet place with alot of deer, the room was great. Great place for a couple. Out of town alittle, which is why it was so nice and quiet
We stayed in the cutest little place for our 40th Anniversary. Called Lavender Cottage, it was small but had everything we needed. The deer came to visit everyday and a few were so tame they ate from our hands. Will definitely return.
We had such a pleasant time at the Lavender Cottage. It had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. It was minutes away from everything.Feeding the deers (up to 15 at a time) was an experience! We'll definitely stay again when in Wimberley!
