“I wouldn't go there for the food”
Reviewed 17 April 2013

We stayed a night at this B&B. Staff were very friendly. The wooded setting was serene and we enjoyed the birds and flowers. The house was very clean and had a modest amount of charm to it. The rooms in the main house seemed very close together, though, and we didn't feel it had enough separation to really feel comfortable. You could hear noise and conversation fairly easily. The breakfast was not gourmet quality or even Denny's quality. We were served a pretty poor omelet with marina sauce, a fruit cup, a strange chunk of ham, and something else forgettable. The stay served our purpose but I wouldn't go here expecting a great dining experience.

“5 star service with a friendly, family atmosphere”
Reviewed 14 April 2013 via mobile

Blair House Inn has to be in my top 2 places to stay and I've traveled all over the western world. We stayed in El Serafin-- one of their newest cottages at the top of the hill. The accommodations were classic Texas Hill country with an upscale feel. The cottage was very private and had a wonderful long view of the hills and valleys, and was dark enough to afford a view of the Milky Way. The property is beautifully maintained with winding stone paths and a very nice pool area. The proprietors have been in the hospitality business for decades and clearly know what they're doing. We were greeted in our room with a tray of delicious desserts and a carafe of wine. Since we arrived late, Vickie (one of the owners) called on our cell to make sure we knew where to pick up the key and to ensure everything was set up properly. They apparently asked my husband about any food preferences because to my surprise they made me a special egg dish to accommodate a food allergy without even asking. They also called before the evening meal to make sure that nothing on the menu would be an issue since we also purchased the Saturday night prix fixe 5 course dinner. It was fabulous. The proprietors themselves served the meal along with their wonderful waitstaffer Casey who gave us a great tip on where to have lunch (The Leaning Pear) in Wimberely. We will definitely be back!

“A bit of Culinary Heaven in Wimberley”
Reviewed 23 January 2013

My husband and I try to eat at least once a month at the Blair House's Saturday Dinner. We live in Wimberley, so we make dinner arrangements only. Each of us have attended their cooking school also.
Each course is perfectly paired with a wine that has been preselected by the chef to accompany the food choice. The food is always excellent, and if you have a food allergy don't worry they try to accomodate your needs.
The Schneiders, the owners of Blair House, welcome all to their select registry inn. It is absolutely charming and welcoming.
Come here for a special treat or event or just because you are worth it!
The Blair House Saturday Dinner will not disappoint. And if you are really lucky, stay at the inn, attend cooking school and enjoy your culinary efforts at the Saturday evening dinner.

“Best B & B yet!”
Reviewed 26 November 2012

We were impressed that every detail was thought about in advance. We stayed for three nights and will definitely have this high on our list of places to return!

Food for breakfast and the special dinner (Thanksgiving for us) - was superb - absolutely nothing to complain about. Service was spot on - they took care of you very well.

Grounds are well manicured - great porches - wonderful pool area - RELAXING! Deer on the grounds - wonderful walking trail.

Room was beautiful and lacked for nothing. Evening turndown service included wine and dessert. Great soaking tub.

My husband and I had the best massages - what a great way to start the day.

If you have an opportunity to visit - GO! - don't miss this place!!
