Yes, a cute little cabin in a lovely peaceful setting with gorgeous views, BUT housekeeping certainly needs attention to detail. The rug in the lounge under the coffee table was covered in hair - dog and human - some dishes needed cleaning before we could use them - the shower floor was covered in clumps of dark hair - there were previous tenants used bottles of shampoo etc and a used razor left in the shower - there was rubbish lying on the floor next to the toilet - and the cofffee machine was broken! Luckily we brought along our own coffee plunger!!! Not luxury housekeeping standards by any means - and I don’t seem to be the only one who thinks so!
The views that this cabin has are worth 5 stars on there own. Unfortunately the cabin could use a better cleaning staff. The cabin was clean but it was not $300 a night clean, there were spiderwebs and dust on the light fixtures. We did not use the kitchen so not sure how well it was stocked. The bed was comfortable and the rest of the furniture were comfortable also.
If you are seeking peace, quiet, and solitude, Ruby Cabin is ideal for that. We enjoyed sitting on the deck looking at the scenery. The little town of Wimberley is filled with friendly people.
The cabin itself had some issues. There is a difference in going over a space and actually cleaning it. Walking in it seemed clean but we began to notice dusty surfaces, bedside rug was stained and dirty, bathroom rugs needed laundering, bathroom mirror dirty, etc. It was apparent the space had been gone over but not with attention to detail. Only basics provided for cooking, no measuring cup, measuring spoons, etc. And the sound system has major issues. Speaker in bedroom brings in living room tv, music would come on during tv show, tv came on by itself???
We paid $915 for 3 day stay. Their checkout procedures require you to take out the garbage, do the dishes, and tidy up or additional cleaning fees may be charged??? We were disappointed☹️
