I checked in with my child, Shane the "manager" or owners son knowing I was exhausted and needed to rest offered a deal of $40 for 4-6 hours as I advised him that's all I needed. Got to the hotel approx 9:30 checked in completely delirious and in need of sleep, went to room, my child was already asleep so I took a shower and then laid down, approx 20-30 min later they started doing construction in the room next to ours !!!!!!! SO MUCH FOR THE SLEEP !!!! I began packing and went to check out and no one except for the grandma said anything close to sorry or anything. I PAID FORTY DOLLARS FOR NOTHING !!!!!!! No one offered a refund and when I went back in the room to look for my son's phone I looked under the bed and found it completely SATURATED WITH FUZZ AND DUST IT WAS DISGUSTING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Horrible experience. I am going to file a report with the better business bureau regarding the crappy conditions and the situation I found. I will be posting all over the net how gross this place was and the crappy customer service !

Pulled into town, had reservations here on the advice of people who had stayed there before. Asked for a non smoking pet friendly room, was given a smoking room that had been converted to pet friendly. Was told if there was a problem let them know. The toilet had no handle to flush it and the sink tap ran milky white white water even after being ran for 10 minutes and would not clear after sitting for 5 minutes. Pulled back a pillow to look at the bed and the bottom sheets didn't even cover the mattress. loaded the car and told the front desk we would not be staying and would continue on down the road. we we asked if the room was a mess and I told them no, just some trash in the trash can but I would take it out, I also informed them of all the issues with the room. Was given a refund and left. Received a call from the manager about 30 minutes later, was told we shouldn't have been given a refund and that it was only fair to charge us $20 for a cleaning fee, he compared it to ordering a meal at a restaurant and just walking out. I informed him of the problems and his only answer was that we wouldn't want to come into a room like that he had to pay maids $15 to clean it. I told him we didn't like the room and the condition it was in when it was "ready for guests". In the end I have a charge for the room and an additional $20 for the "cleaning". I am awaiting my refund and will continue to use Motel 6 for quick stops, which was $15 cheaper as it was.

We were very impressed by the service that we received by the front desk clerk. She was very considerate and helpful and went out of her way to help us with all that we needed. The motel is an older motel but the rooms are updated with new beds and carpet and are very clean. The price is amazingly reasonable. Breakfast is in walking distance and all other amenaties are available withing walking distance. The rooms have brick walls which every room is very quiet and comfortable. A sinclair station is attatched for your fuel convenience. They are pet friendly and amazingly people friendly, which is hard to find these days. Best customer care I have had in over 30 years.

If you ever find yourself driving to - or leaving Las Vegas - and you just can't keep your eyes open any longer, look for this exit in Beaver, Utah and go to this splendid little, American owned and operated motel. There are also a big Best Western and a rather institutional looking Rodeway Inn at this exit along with gas, a McDonalds (best Big Mac I've eaten in a long time) and a nice looking coffee shop with lousy service (which is why I went to MickieDs). The Rodeway Inn was bogus as they posted a price of $44 a night, but the Middle Eastern managers were rude and demanded $144. The Best Western was full. I was so lucky that I got the last room at the Country Inn – and for only $54.

The rooms are squeaky clean! The carpet, beds, and bathrooms are all new. The walls between each room are made of thick stone, limiting the noise from the neighbors.

I was greeted at the desk by a great young American woman who made sure that I was safe and secure. As I checked in after midnight, she declared that it was more important that I get a full night's sleep so not to worry about the 11:00 check-out time. The next morning the owners were on duty and they did their best to get me to the coffee shop at the Best Western for a real breakfast, but the hostess there was rude so I went across the road for my Big Mac and Apple Pie which did just fine.

These folks were Americans at their best...the way I remember from before I moved to the Third World country of Southern California.

Moving from L.A. to Denver can be a daunting task, especially being a middle-age female, alone, driving a 16-foot Penske Truck, hauling a car on a trailer, with a very pissed-off cat in a carrier on the passenger seat. These good people at the Country Inn were put there on that highway by my guardian angel.

Like I said – if your eyelids are getting too heavy to drive, stop at the Country Inn. They are lifesavers.
