“New hotel in the Bryce area”
Reviewed 13 March 2014

We visited in December 2013 and since it was off season the price was cheap and the hotel was perfect. Good new rooms and a hot breakfast made our day! Very near to the bryce canyon nation park entrance. They have a big lobby with a fireplace etc.

Overall a good place to stay.

We visited in mid-March and got a great deal on the room, which included a hot breakfast. We really liked the breakfast options (standard, but with a little extra, like the pre-peeled grapefruit, yum!) and enjoyed the hot tub each night. Room was clean and spacious, with a view of an RV lot, which I actually recommend if you enjoy sunrises, it was spectacular over the mesas in the distance! The actual bathroom with the toilet and shower was a bit cramped, and the heater woke us up one night, but it was worth the off-season price. It is also very very close to Bryce NP, which was terribly convenient.

Room Tip: If you enjoy sunrises, ask for a room with a view of the RV lot, it was spectacular over the mesas i...

We stayed at this Best Western on a road trip for one evening during the off-peak/shoulder season in the Southern Utah area. I am a Best Western Diamond member. The overall stay was good, however there are a few things (some possibly out of the hotel control to be fair) that would have made it exemplary.

First, The Good:
- The location is terrific for Bryce.
- The parking is free and convenient to the door.
- The breakfast is free and actually very good quality with several options.
- The WiFi is free and was a decent speed, especially considering the rural area.
- The bed was comfortable. The bed was very comfortable, could be compared with a Hampton Inn or Courtyard style bed. Certainly not a Hilton or Sheraton bed, however.
- The room was tastefully decorated and modern.
- The room was pretty clean. There are a few areas such as the corners, behind furniture, that kind of thing. But the most important areas: Bed, Shower, Furniture was clean.

And The Bad:
- In off season, and most likely during peak season there are virtually no options for dining. On our off season visit, there was one restaurant in the entire town open for dinner, even the Subway was closed. I would ordinarily say that this is out of the hotel's control, however most of the town is owned and run by the same organization and has some options closed. I understand that the business may not be there to sustain during the off season so this is not as much of a negative review as much as it is a word of caution to come prepared.
- Loyalty status was not honored. Diamond members are entitled to a welcome 'snack' as well as a space available upgrade. Neither were honored, and the status was not even recognized by the staff. The hotel I would estimate was somewhere around 30% capacity, so the space was definitely available.
- Room placement. Again, despite preferences to be away from the elevator, on a high floor, etc. placed in notes and in the profile, the room was located on the first floor beside the ice maker and elevator. This, be reminded, on a night where most of the hotel was empty. The noise was not a serious concern, however, because the hotel was virtually empty and quiet.
- Noise. The refrigerator in the room made a highly annoying clicking sound, forcing us to unplug it from the wall. This was just for one night stay, and we didn't need it, so it was not a big deal at the time.
- A/C. The unit was very confusing. You could place it on "fan" but would come on and off at weird times acting as more of an "automatic.". There was no option for a constant fan for ambient/white noise.

Overall the place was fine and I would recommend it. The bottom line is: Unless you find enough value in the free breakfast the room rate here is likely not a good value compared to the cheaper Best Western Plus across the street (that does not include breakfast). In our case, the rate was an additional $20, so it was worth the cost. The most annoying factor was the non observance of the diamond status.

Room Tip: High floor, you could hear plumbing from the room above.

We stayed a few days ago. The rooms are very nice and clean, the breakfast excellent and plentiful. The staff are very kind and helpful. The hotel is in a beautiful position, a good place for excursions to Arches National Park and Canyonlands (event though more distant).

I was really impressed when I checked into at the reception, I asked for a king size bed changed when I initially booked a 2 queens size bed room. Even more impressed when we went to the room, we were satisfied with what we expected from the website and trip advisor.

I was really happy that they have a kuerig coffee machine, which I really using it for entire 2 days stay.

The only complaint that I have was the internet access to the room and at the hotel lobby and restaurant sucks! After we logged in, it takes forever to upload and downloading. So, we almost giving up on internet.

Room Tip: the internet access to the room sucks so dont bother to order it (if its charged).

Stayed during off season, only restaurant open was a walk away at the Best Western Opposite (which was pretty terrible), breakfast was at this hotel however and was ok, better than average for a Best Western breakfast. Room was comfortable, heater a bit noisy, but otherwise fine. Hotel is located just outside the park which is great, but be aware that you're not in any kind of town, so the local eating choices etc aren't brilliant.
