Very nice lady at reception; very helpful. Hotel simple, basic, not fancy. But, it works. Close to park. Not many options for eating. Ate at the restaurant in Ruby's. Pretty awful. Ask for a room with a microwave and fridge and have a "room picnic"

Thanks for the comments regarding your recent stay. We are glad to hear that staff was helpful and kind. We do hope if you make a return visit that you might check out Ebenezer's Barn &Grill, Ruby's Cowboy Buffet & Steakhouse, with a recently revamped menu, or the Canyon Diner. Thank you for choosing to stay with us!

We appreciate your comments and hope to have you visit again! If we can be of assistance in the future, please contact us at 435-834-5341.

Never being to Bryce Canyon NP before we wanted something close to the park entrance. Bryce View Lodge was close and that's about all that was good about it. It was 29 degrees outside and was about 45 degrees in our room as the heater had to be serviced after we got into the room on April 2. As they were working on our heater they got another call to service another heater. Twice during the night I had to reset the heat because it shut off and the room got very cold again. The next morning there was no one in the office to consider giving us a discount for a lousy night. To get anything to eat, the only option was to go to Ruby's Resteraunt (yes, the same proprietor of the so called value lodge). It was not a value at $91. I would recommend not staying just outside the park because Ruby has a little monopoly going in that area and you will pay for lousy and high priced service.

Room Tip: The internet does not relate to you that the Bryce View Lodge is a VALUE motel !!!

We do have chilly weather during the early spring here in the Bryce Canyon Area. We are sorry that the heater was resetting during your stay with us. Being located close to Bryce Canyon National Park, and isolated from many other services, we do strive to provide many services and amenities to our guests and locals in the area. We are always striving to make improvements. Thank you for your feedback!

We appreciate your comments and hope to have you visit again! If we can be of assistance in the future, please contact us at 435-834-5341.

Our first impression was not good. The older blond woman at reception was really rude. When we asked to see the room prior to pay for our 3 night stay, she huffed and puffed and rolled her eyes. Lady, if you don't like you job, get out of the business. The room was fine but there was this motor noise coming from the second floor that kept me up all night, had a better sleep after purchasing ear plugs. I could have used the hot tub but having to walk across the street to the Ruby Inn was not very convenient. Plus, there was no breakfast so we had to make provisions at the Ruby Inn General Store which was double the price for anything you purchased. So anybody planning to visit Bryce Canyon, bring your own snacks, fruits and anything else you need for your stay.

We just recently stayed at this motel. It just recently opened for the summer season. This is a simple old style motel, with simple rooms and amenities. Rooms are clean. You do not come to Bryce Canyon to stay in a motel room. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The nasty comments left about her by SDtraveler-7 seem to be very personal on the part of that reviewer, and to us, inappropriate. The "older lady with short blond hair" was very nice to us, friendly, helpful. The motel is right near the entrance to the park. Very convenient. There are not many food options. Bryce View Lodge is owned by Ruby's Inn. The restaurant at Ruby's Inn should be avoided. It is pretty bad, horribly overpriced, the service is poor and the servers very unfriendly. Would happily return to Bryce View Lodge, but would not to the Ruby's Inn restaurant.

Room Tip: 2 levels, no elevator.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us at Bryce View Lodge and that you had a pleasant experience with our staff. It is always great to know that the training pays off when a guest has a positive experience with staff. Rooms are basic but comfortable. If you are at Bryce you won't be spending time in your room, it's a beautiful canyon. Becky at the front desk welcomed us with a warm smile. She was very professional and helpful. Explained about the facilities and things to do, like the wagon ride and Ebenizers. Don't know why a couple of comments were so negative. Maybe for some reason they had chips on their shoulders. We felt very welcomed during our 3 day visit. Make sure you check out the little frontier store, Old Bryce a Town. Store is friendly and great ice cream.

Thank you for staying with us! We are glad you had a positive and welcoming experience with our staff and that she let you know about all the great activities happening in the area. Old Bryce Town does have many fun and unique items, in addition to the great ice cream, for perusing during your visit. We hope you enjoyed your stay!

It has a comfy bed, it was a quiet place and the room was clean. Overall it was good value. The area is nice though there isn't much around. There are some souviner stores in wild west style buildings that are actually quite interesting to look through. On the other side of the street is a combined hotel/restaurant/souviner store/grocerey store.
