“AMAZING!!!!!!”

Think about what your perfect vacation would be................. this place exceeds that!!!!
I read the negative reviews on pinewoods resort before we decided to go stay there, and all I have to say is LIES!!!!!!!!!
My family and I picked pinewoods to stay for our Summer trip and it was PERFECT!
The staff was great and supper friendly! The food was delicious!! Something on the menu for everyone!! The manager was awesome and super accommodating. The rooms were exceptionally clean! They had a ton of things to do such as: atv rentals, volleyball, basketball, arcade room, nature hikes, and tons more we had the opportunity to try.
This place was literally Amazing!! This is our new family spot!!! Thank you to pinewoods for an amazing summer!!

Rooms are large. Restaurant is fairly good and check in desk friendly. Yet the place does not offer any particular reason to stay there. It loks like a big camping in the middle of a residential forestry area. Ok for an overnight stay, but there are better place to stay in that region. For example on the shores of Navahio lake.

For the price, the room we had was very nice and we will be back. We were able to bring our dogs and the service at the restaurant downstairs was excellent (the food was good too). The hotel is tucked away in a beautiful section of the woods. The room was clean and we had everything we needed. I didn't notice any ATV noise from my room like one of the previous reviews mentioned; we had a noisy neighbor one night, but that isn't the hotel's fault. The kids got more enjoyment out of the game room than they did any of the sights we went to see. The continental breakfast was very sparse one of the days, nothing left by the time we got there but cold cereal, but that was my only real complaint. I don't camp in tents, so for me, this was camping and it was enjoyable. We will be back.

We stayed for the July 4 weekend. Cabin was nice, but as the previous reviewer said, the pictures on the web make the rooms look bigger than they are. Not really a resort. More like a few buildings and an RV parking tucked into the trees in an otherwise residential area. Bring everything that you may need. Although a coffer maker is provided in the room, when we asked the front desk for some sugar packets, we were told that sugar was something that guests were expected to bring. A resort that caters to it's guests, it is not.

Rooms are cleaned every other day. Dishes, pots and pans and silverware are provided with each kitchenette. But make sure that you wash every last dish before you leave. The sign in the kitchen says that you will be charged $25 if any dish is left unwashed.

Wi-Fi is provided, but it's spotty at best. When you can get a signal, it's horribly slow and reminded me of the old days of dial-up speeds.

Be prepared to listen to ATV's until well after 9:00 at night and breath the dust from constant ATV traffic on the adjacent dirt road. Our neighbors were constantly coming and going on the ATV with no regard for their neighbors. With no air conditioning, the windows need to be open at night in July and it was like the ATV's were driving through the room. Pinewoods "Resort" and Duck Creek Village obviously cater to motor heads. If you are part of the ATV culture - you'll fit right in. On the other hand, if you prefer a more back to nature atmosphere and believe that ATV's are just obnoxious toys for obnoxious people, you might want to find another part of Utah to visit.

We just came back from a 4th of July weekend trip to Duck Creek, Utah and stayed at the Pinewoods Resort for 3 nights. While the place definitely falls short of what I would call a "resort", our cabin was clean and the amenities were reasonable. I have to take into consideration that this part of Utah is pretty rustic and that is the way they like to keep it. Duck Creek Village itself is quaint although the 4th of July holiday had the place hopping for the weekend. Be aware that this area is mostly dirt roads, so you and everything you own will be head-to-toe-dust when you leave!

Pinewoods has a small restaurant that served moderately priced food of moderate quality. The service from Celeste was first rate however, and she made sure that we were well taken care of the two nights we ate at the restaurant. The resort does have volleyball and basketball for the kids, however we really used the place as a base camp for all of the other activities of the area including Zion and Bryce National Parks, fishing and sightseeing.

The cabin was smaller than I expected but well maintained. The photos on the website make the place look bigger than it really is. The rooms are very close together, so we heard absolutely everything that our neighbors were doing. Be aware, there is a charge for EVERYTHING here including firewood in the outdoor pit to make s'mores. Best to bring your own groceries and provisions when coming here, but know that the fridge is of the "mini" variety. We used a cooler to store most of our items while we were at the resort.

Overall, I would say our experience was okay. Not awesome, but I have been to worse places.

We arrived late at night to find a note and key taped to main lodge welcoming us. Our room was like a small apartment. Living room, dining area, small kitchen and bath on first floor, with two bedrooms upstairs. The kitchen worked out really well. It was really clean and I am extremely picky. We stayed 3 nights and cooked our evening dinner there. In the morning they had a continental breakfast which was as good as any motel chain we've stayed in. The staff (all of them) were very friendly, courteous and professional. The setting is idyllic. It was like a winter wonderland. We rented two snowmobiles for 2 full days, one two-up and one mountain sled. They gave us great directions. We had an absolutely wonderful time! The scenery is unbelievable. We traveled through Dixie National Forest, to Cedar Breaks and Zion, went over to Brianhead. It was great. We ate lunch in Duck Creek Village. The two family restaurants provided very good meals.
We had plenty of room for all of our snowmobile gear and regular luggage in the room. One snowmobile had a broken bolt on the handle, we went back to the lodge and it was repaired in minutes and we were back on our way!
I would definitely go back to this resort! Too bad we had to leave Monday morning because it was snowing like crazy. We had no problems getting down the mountain even though our rental didn't have snow tires
