The cabins here are wonderful! Just your basic cabin, oh not really. For a primitive cabin, these are not so primitive. There are great sheets on the beds, comforters and superb blankets hanging on hooks for those chilly nights. Lovely fresh towels await you with a nice litte chunk of wonderful soap! There is a fan if the nights are not so chilly, mosquito netting for a perfect screen door, we left our door open all night! The showers and bathrooms are immaculate and well lit at night. It is right on the main thoroughfare, but it is quiet and relaxing, not a sound to be heard at night! Stephen will check you in with great conversation and a wealth of knowledge, Dennis (the owner) is a stand up guy and knows what he is doing! The restaurant has delicious food and a delightful staff. The shop in the main building is fun and has some great stuff, books, clothes, cool things to take home to friends and who knows what else I did not manage to see. Was traveling with my son, so we had a bunk bed cabin, could not have been any more comfortable. Obviously, I cannot say enough good things about Escalante Outfitters! Even if you don't think this type of accomodation is for you, give it a try, you will become a convert, this is the best place to be in Escalante!More
