Situated across the street from a great little park, within walking distance of a church, a post office and a perfect small town restaurant this hotel along the main strip of town is the best place to stay in Green River. We stayed in two rooms here over the course of three nights. The first room had 3 beds (queen) and the second room had a king and queen. The Wi-fi here is amazing there was service at the park and even the playground at the far end which has to be at least 400 yards away. It is fast enough to stream netflix with no interruption from buffering. The room itself is dated but you are staying at a budget inn located in Green River Utah, this is not the Hilton in New York. "There are no phones in the rooms" claims one reviewer. This is an amazing plus for our family as my three year old son loves to play on the phones in hotels. "There were bugs in the corner" claims another reviewer...Oh my you mean that there are bugs in the desert? Wow! Well I know that this couple cleans the hotels very well because we had a pack of dinosaur toys that were left behind in the room we moved from (3 bed) and the manager Wayne made sure to set them aside and gave them to us first thing when we returned from our daily activities. This is nothing short of a miracle as the size of these little dinosaurs are less than a square inch. He found all five and a charger that we left plugged into the wall. Wayne the manager is bearded and long haired but that does nothing to get in the way of his amazing work ethic. This man bent over backwards and did somersaults to make sure our stay was the best he could manage. When we moved to another room he made sure to switch out the televisions so we had the largest one on site for our two children. He also brought in a microwave even though we never used it. For breakfast Wayne bakes a fresh batch of blueberry muffins every 20 minutes (or so it seemed) they were so delicious they were gobbled up before the next batch can come out. The coffee is hot and perfectly brewed, one cup could do ya! The breakfast choices are what you'd expect from a quaint little hotel in a great little town. Oatmeal, cereal, coffee, a huge assortment of teas, orange juice, toast, peanut butter, an array of jams, jellies and marmalades and of course those fresh, hot and delicious blueberry muffins. Wayne makes sure to sit and chat as well, on the morning of our departure we had a warm conversation and in the middle Wayne noticed that a couple had left something behind at the breakfast bar and he nearly sprinted out barefoot to make sure they didn't leave without it. If you stay here make sure to visit the chow hound just two doors down and get a marshmallow-oreo malt and the fish basket. This is small town cooking at it's finest. If you have any questions about the area or things to do in the vicinity make sure you talk to Wayne he has a large collection of area maps and National/State park visitor guides to help you plan for your week. Our sleep was uninterrupted peaceful and comfortable. We also happened to sleep on the bed that another reviewer took a picture of that is supported by bricks on one side. It did nothing to change my mind about the great sleep we achieved. The motel is one story so there is no one walking up stairs and pacing back and forth over your head at night while you try to sleep. This reviewer loved his stay at the Budget inn and if we are ever back in Green River UT we will absolutely stay here again. As long as you're not expecting the Radisson you will enjoy your stay as well.
