“Great Day on the Water”
Reviewed 30 July 2014 via mobile

Visited Jordanelle Reservoir on a Wednesday in July... Rented a Moomba 21' Mondo ski boat for a party of 6. This was the perfect boat for an amazing day on the water. We packed the boat with coolers for lunch and hydration. With a wakeboard on the rack and a water tube in tow we were off for an absolutely spectacular day.

The staff at Jordanelle rentals was terrific. Extremely helpful and courteous. Would definitely go back there when we visit Utah again.

“Great camp spot!”
Reviewed 11 July 2014 via mobile

We have stayed here twice in our camper. The views are amazing and the campground is pretty well maintained. The showers could be cleaner and the shower heads are a little too hard to comfortably shower. The bathrooms are well maintained and the camp hosts are friendly. The marina is knowledgeable and offers a lot of rentals. We went paddle boarding and kayaking. The beach is great for some kid water time! The park is near Park City and Heber City for amenities. Really nice camp spot!

“Nice Campground - Very Windy”
Reviewed 19 June 2014

We've stayed here twice in the past three years. Most of the campsites are very near to the water (within 200 feet) and it's a quiet setting. The park is situated between the mountains in a long valley. We have stayed in both June and July and it wasn't very crowded either time. There isn't much noise, as it seems to attract families and not the partiers.

The only drawback is the wind, which seems pretty constant. It seems to blow through the pass and at times can get up to 25-30 miles per hour. It's not a problem in the morning hours, but like most places, definitely picks up in the afternoon and early evening. The weather can be strange - it snowed several inches in the middle of June - but that's mountain camping for you.

We haven't had any luck fishing in the lake, but it's primarily trout, with no catfish (my favorite summer fishing). Worth a visit and only about 15 minutes to Park City, which is amazing.

“Nice close overnighter”
Reviewed 11 August 2013

Less than an hour away from the wasatch front, Jordanelle State Park is a quiet place to camp, RV, or Cabin overnight. We rented a cabin which kept us dry when it rained. It was warm and comfortable with plenty of space for gear. The Deer cabin we stayed in sleeps 6 (bunk queens + futon) and has a microwave, small fridge, and dining table. There is a bench on the porch and a pic nic table next to a fire pit right out front. Views of the reservoir are beautiful.

My greatest dislike of our visit was the number of water crafts on the water. Jet skis were buzzing up and down the length of the place and ski boats were everywhere. With the water level lower than it has been in a decade, it made for a bit of a crazy Saturday on our fishing boat. I can only imagine how difficult it would have been on a sail boat or paddle board! I heard that if you visit on the weekdays it is much more pleasant so that is what I will recommend - avoid the weekend and everything should be excellent on the weekdays!
