One of Kanab's finest buildings. Great rooms, affordable prices and great staff .

This hotel is awesome. Clean. And has the cutest decor. Lamps with steer horns, miniature saddles. Indoor pool and outside patio are great to hang out in. Breakfast was great too. Don't hesitate to stay here! It's a bit pricey but worth it. Plenty of room to park a boat if you are on your way to Lake Powell.

Enjoyed our Stay - clean comfortable room. Friendly Staff. Good Breakfast - varies slightly from day to day. Great place to stay if your visiting Zion, Bryce, Grand Canyon and Page areas. We were on the third floor - checked in late had no issues.

The only complaint - walls are pretty thin could hear our neighbors in the adjoining room... but.. all in all, very nice.

My husband and I and our two kids stayed at HIEK in June during our cross-country trip from CA to IN. We stayed in a lot of hotels on the trip, and this was one of the best ones. The room was very clean, the hotel had plenty of laundry facilities (important when traveling with kids), and the breakfast was good. Plus the common room they provide for breakfast has plenty of seating... more than I've ever seen in any other chain hotel.
We left Kanab to tour the north rim, and spent the next night in the Marriott Courtyard in Page, which is a much more expensive hotel but was way worse in many ways. We were disappointed that we didn't spend a second night in Kanab... it would have been worth the extra few hours it would have added to the cross-country trip!

my notes May 2012: King suite, refer, micro, good size work table, easy chair,
ottoman, sofabed, round table, coffee table, cowboy & indian motif in rm,
office chair height adjustment broken, only at lowest position & chair tilted
back too easily, spring worn/loose, whole chair tilted down to the right side.
rm had good view of red cliffs.
Some truck noise, hotel is on hwy, could hear people
talking in the next room. We had to wait for a table at breakfast because it
was full from a large bus of tourists. Had to move mattress to plug in my cpap.
Room was 60 F when we first went in & AC was set on lowest setting (by maid?).
I mentioned this to front desk at check-out & they would tell housekeeping.
