This was a neat place to stop, also one of the only available hotels in Kanab in September. We called almost all in the Auto Club Tour Book. All filled with Euro tourists.
The motel is over 80 years old, and it feels like going back to the '50's. We had the Arlene Dahl, queen room for about $70. It was very clean, tidy but a little small. No closet, you have to wonder where all the stars that stayed there kept their clothes for months long movie shoots.
The really fun part is the barn where they show movies shot in the area every night at 7:30, along with a clip about the movie business in Kanab's "Little Hollywood". The barn kept the movie horses. It's free, and they sell popcorn and soda if you choose. We brought in our own wine to enjoy with the film.
We would definitely stay there again. The front desk was so accommodating and friendly. it's perfectly located across from Houstons for a good meal. And the only town to stay in if you're wanting to visit the National Parks in the area.
