Long story short, it was the worst night sleep I've ever had. I've slept better camping with a rock in my back then I did there and when I went to use the "guest bathroom" by all the food for breakfast I found mouse droppings all over it. (Needless to say NASTY!) For the rest of the story read below....
We had come up just for a night stay. My sister use to live in Sandy and had always wanted to stay here so we went to check it out. We were considering staying here of the La Quinta across the street. When we first got there to desk clerk was super nice and very helpful, but we thought we'd go check the La Qunita anyway. This hotel was $5.00 cheaper so we decided to stay at the Discovery. When we got back to check in the manager was there. He jumped right in to try to help us out but from the very first he WAS SOOOOOOO RUDE!!!! He told us we should stay in their "Deluxe rooms" and said he'd show us one. He did so and proceeded to tell us the beds were all new and super comfortable. But he said the only thing different about the rooms were the beds. Again we were just up for one night and they "Deluxe Rooms" were $10 more and we didn't think the beds would make that bid of difference. When we went to check in they didn't have any "standard rooms" available so they up-graded us to a "deluxe room for $5.00 more" We decided that was fine. However, when we got to the "deluxe room" it didn't have anything like the memory foam beds the manager had talked up. So I went back and talked to them and they refunded the $5.00. However, that night none of us slept good, the beds were just way too comfortable.
In the morning I had gone to use their computer when I was walking back to my room, there were all these very sketchy people that had stayed their the night before and their was a drunk walking around. When I got back to the room everyone was upset about the night sleep they had gotten and told me I needed to go talk to them to see what they would do. I went to talk to the Manager and asked if there was something he could do and instantly he blew up in my face and said they had already given us a discount on the room and there wasn't anything else they could do for us. I told them they had mouse dropping by all the food and that none of us had eaten breakfast (which they day before he had told me they charge $5.00 for to anyone who wasn't staying in the room). I would have been happy with even a $15 refund or anything but he just wouldn't even talk to me about anything he just basically said sorry get lost.
I would not recommend this room to anyone. And the management is the worst I have ever dealt with!
