There is an Indian at the door who doesn't let anyone in without a donation though. The place is well worth a few dollars donation. I especially liked the upstairs rooms preserved as they were when the Gouldings lived in them.

You can stay for hours because there is so much to see. We wanted to participate in the evening program but there just wasn't time.

The Gouldings were a compassionate and wonderful couple who did much good for the Navajo people. The museum, which was once their home, is just like it was back in the "day".

One of my family members did see an apparition walk through the upstairs bedroom though--a thick black figure with a hat.

I couldn't have found a better way to get to know the Valley and it's recent history of film making. The museum had all sorts of exhibits showing movie posters, artifacts from that era, stories behind the films. I could have spent a lot more time in there and highly recommend it to anyone traveling through. The Navajo woman at the information desk inside was a great person to talk to about anything.

A nice small museum. It is loaded with photos and facts pertaining to all the movies filmed in the valley. There is no charge for entry. If you like movies, this is a must see.
