My husband and I have stayed at the Alaskan Inn several times and we love it so much we go back every January to celebrate our birthdays after the busy Christmas season. Because we go in January, we love the cabins outside. You walk from the main lodge to your own private cabin! You walk from the snow into a cozy, warm outdoorsy room that smells wonderful and usually has some type of outdoor sounds playing from the CD player.

Each room has a large comfortable bed with a small table and a big TV. You can rent DVD's from the lodge or watch cable. The rooms come with a jetted tub that is fabulous for relaxing. The bathrooms are just off the room and include a shower/toilet and sink.

The breakfasts are divine! They give you quite a choice and I have never been disappointed! The staff is wonderful and helpful.

There are a few restaurants nearby. The Timbermine is just out of the mouth of the canyon and has great steak and seafood. In the canyon for a more casual atmosphere is the The Oaks, serving burgers, sandwiches and such. Up the canyon in Eden are a couple more places, pizza, mexican and steak.

I would absolutely reccommend this B&B. We love it!

It is difficult to find a wheelchair accessible bed & breakfast so when we found the Alaskan inn we were looking forward to a nice nights stay.

the cabin was nice and comfortable. We could have used a heavier blanket and would have appreciated a few of the burned out lights replaced, but otherwise, it was a peasant stay. Breakfast was delivered to our room and was very good. The setting along the river, in the canyon and among the trees was a very pleasant setting for a romantic evening.

The only thing I am disappoint in is that because this is the biggest cabin we were charged the highest price. I would have been happier with a smaller cabin at a lower price, but did not have a choice.

regardless, we look forward to returning here some day.

We travelled with family and occupied two cabins. The cabins are really luxurious and beautifully themed with great attention to detail and the most comfy beds. They are set in beautifully landscaped gardens and are immaculate. A complimentary breakfast is provided which you pre-order to be delivered to your cabin at your requested time.

The reason I gave this only four on the rating, is that although they give you a complimentary non alcoholic drink on arrival, they ask $1 for a bottle of water that is stocked in your fridge. For the rates of the rooms, I really do feel that the water should be complimentary also.

That being said, however, it was a treat to stay there.

My wife and I have celebrated our anniversary here every year since we've been married. We regularly visit other places, but we always come back to the Alaskan.
The lodges are great fun; a little cramped, but very well themed; each is named after an area of Alaska, and the decor matches the name.

There are two rows of lodges away from the main building; we always stay on the mountain side of lodges rather than the road side, which is the main road through the valley. We have yet to hear any noise from traffic or other visitors - once you close the door, you're in a little world of your own.

Staff are very attentive, and always there if you need them, not around if you don't. Your breakfast (a full English if you want it) is delivered at the time you ask, and left outside your lodge on a small shelf. The staff knock, then run away and leave you to it; wonderful for us!

If you stay here, you NEED transport. The main road outside is not safe for walking - too fast and narrow - and the property is backed up against the mountain side, so there are no places to walk on the property. However, there are great walks not 15 minutes drive away.

No food available - we choose to stop at a Sushi restaurant in Ogden, or go to the Gray Cliffe Lodge Restaurant, which is practically next door; food just like your granny used to make!

The best aspect of the Alaskan Inn is the privacy. The staff pretty much leave you alone, and there's no noise. The worst aspect is the price of extras - bring your own chocolate strawberries! - and the fact that it's a different cost for a single nights stay every time we book. But the positives far outweigh the negatives.

We've been here three times now in the 7 years we've been married. We have tried other places but we always end up saying to each other, "This isn't nearly as great as the Alaskan Inn." The rooms are clean, beautiful, warm, and inviting. I felt as though I had complete privacy. When you enter your room, soft music is playing (awesome sound system) and there are refreshments waiting for you. Breakfast is made to order and brought to your room at the time you request. They have a large and free DVD and CD library. Their jetted tubs are huge. Odgen Canyon is gorgeous and the perfect setting for this get a way. We love this place so much!

Me and the wife have been married for 5 years . This was our first getaway since we have been married . We recieved our stay Thanx to TRENDWEST . I have to say this was the most beautiful places we have seen . The staff was awesome and the breakfast was pretty good as well . We took a drive up to pineveiw dam when we left that morning it's about a 10-15 min. drive up the canyon , Just the drive up the canyon is one of the most beautiful drives in Utah . I highly recomend the Alaskan Inn to anyone that needs to recharge their batteries you won't regret it , and by the way , your privacy is very much respected .
