“Beautiful older hotel”
Reviewed 17 June 2014

This is a beautiful older hotel in the middle of Ogden, Utah. Decor was wonderful, the complimentary breakfast was excellent and plentiful, the suites were huge. Would recommend a hard scrub on the bathroom floor tiles, but overall, excellent value for the price paid.
The staff are very welcoming and helpful. Mall is a mere five minutes away for avid shoppers. Lots of restaurants close to the hotel.

Stayed at Ben Lomond in Ogden on the return from Yellowstone National Park to Salt Lake City airport. Suite was huge and very comfortable. Excellent value for such a large, very clean, and comfortable suite. Hotel was located across the street from a nice city park. Felt very safe in this location. Enjoyed our dinner in the Pub and free continental breakfast the next morning. Highly recommend this wonderful hotel.

Stayed 25 days and it just felt like home. Hotel is so beautiful with marble features and gorgeous ballrooms and conference facilities. Music piped thru hallways and lobby areas takes you back to the 20s and 30s. Anirel served up a nice home cooked breakfast. Lan and Jessica and others were so nice at the front desk.

On our way to Yellowstone, we stopped in the lovely town of Ogden Utah & were pleasantly surprised by this charming well-preserved older hotel in downtown Thanks to a very helpful desk clerk, we were upgraded to a suite on the 7th floor with 5 windows & views of mountains from every window. The hotel is nicely decorated, our room was very clean & spacious. The price was quite reasonable, the staff was friendly & the complimentary hot breakfast was good too. There are several restaurants & pubs nearby including MacCools, the Irish Pub located in the lobby. The Ben Lomond was a great place to relax, unwind & enjoy the mountain views.

I had recently relocated for work from Seattle and as soon as I walked through the historic lobby, I felt like I was at home. The management and staff found me a great, clean, and spacious room. They had free wifi, laundry facilities, mail services, and two delicious restaurants. After staying just a few days, they offered me one of their exclusive extended stay condos. It had all of the amenities of home including a nice kitchen! It was very affordable and comfortable. The staff made my transition from Seattle to Ogden a seamless operation and I will always reccomended this hotel with the highest regard to any business person or a family just looking for a wonderful, historic hotel experience.

Room 610 - Bathtub was not clean & there was some kind of small fabric flower (probably from a baby's hair clip) in between the bed sheets. At first look we thought it was spider.
Room 612 - There were long hair strands on the face wash towels & the bathroom floor had not been cleaned.

I had a very positive experience from reserving the room to checkout. The front desk staff are very helpful and the room was clean and in good condition. The classic music in the halls are an added bonus to the ambiance. I will definitely be staying here next year when I run the Ogden Marathon again. Thank you!
