Owner description: For 50 years this stately and historic depot served as a major hub for transcontinental rail service. Today, it remains a monument to grand rail stations of the early 20th-century and includes four museums: the Utah State Railroad Museum, the Natural History Museum, the Browning Kimball Car Museum and the Browning Firearms Museum.

“Grandpa loved this place!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 November 2013

Took my grandpa here and he had an amazing time going through all the different museums. There is so much to see and he was having a blast! It was like a trip back in time and all the people who worked at the museums were extremley friendly.

“A great way to spend the morning”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 November 2013

We were trying to find somewhere to learn a little more about the history of the area and discovered this gem. The station-museum is wonderfully maintained and well loved by the volunteers. We took a tour of the train museum guided by a great young man named Jon. And the old car museum is fantastic!

“Take a look”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 October 2013

While walking around Ogden we took a look into the old station to snap a few photos. We didn't visit any of the musueums but if you walk outside you can see some of the old trains. Worth crossing the street to take a look.

“Union Station & Museums, Ogden, Utah”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 August 2013

For individuals or families interested in being reminded of just how important railroads have been and continue to be to the economic well being of our nation a visit to the Ogden, Utah, Union Station is a very pleasant way to spend a couple of hours. The station was built over one hundred years ago and then rebuilt in 1924 after it had been destroyed in a fire of 1923. The railroad museum and automobile museum are quite small but very well done. Outside the station are a few old railroad cars and a steam engine which provide a nice opportunity for photographs. If families with children combine this visit with a ride on the Front Runner train it will provide a memory which will stay with family members for many years!
