“Best Place to Stay”
Reviewed 4 July 2014

We were fortunate enough to find this little motel during our stay in Panguitch Utah. Bryce Canyon is right down the road. The owners were very accomodating and friendly. It is a family run operation and let me tell you, I loved the way the WHOLE family pitched in to make the place run smoothly. Their kids were very polite and friendly. It is a very cute and clean little motel. A great place to stay with your family. We enjoyed spending time with them and getting to know them while we were there. I felt like we were fast friends by the time we left! I would recommend this place to anyone traveling in that direction as you cant go wrong staying at Canyon Lodge Motel!

Panguitch Valley has been hosting a Hot Air Balloon Rally for the past 15 +/- years. One of the perks for owning a Motel is hosting some very interesting people who are either Professional or Hobbyist Balloonist who are out to have fun. We (as a family) were able to fly with our last guest in a Hot Air Balloon and I tell you I had so much fun. I am very happy to call these guest our friends and hope they come back again for years to come. Thank you.

Very friendly and helpful staf. Stayed in room 9 and no traffic heard. Little but clean room. It is nice to park the car in front of your door. The shower was excellent. Only the frontdoor clamps. We took this motel because it is nearby Bryce Canyon. A good value. I would stay here again.

Thank you for choosing Canyon Lodge for your destination stop. We have recently remodeled this room. We will be adding new furniture to this room soon and it will be all complete. Most guest really enjoy the "Motel" vs the "Hotel" accomodation especially when the room is right next to the parking area. We are a small family run operation and with any old building there is always improvments to be made. Summers are so busy, I do most of my TLC during the winter months. Thank you again.

The owner was very friendly and alert to our needs, he made sure that our stay was enjoyable and he went out of his way to help. The cost of the room itself was cheep especially considering the quality of the room. We will definitely be staying again

We spent the night here prior to visiting Bryce Canyon. The room was small but clean and the bed slept very well. For $49 a night the value was great. The only drawback was our room was the closet to the highway and the truck noise was loud in the morning. The motel has some sort of deal with the Flying M restaurant where if you mention staying at the motel your non-alcoholic drinks are free. We ate there twice as their food is very good and reasonably priced.

Well, my husband and I stayed here two nights and wouldn't do it again. I read the reviews prior to staying here and I wish someone had mentioned the following and this would have lead me not to stay here. Number one, no one is there to let you in or address issues unless you call them and even then they may not answer. Two, and the biggest issue, this is on the main street where semi trucks and heavy equipment vehicles run ALL night- worse than any truck stop hotel I have stayed in. Even with ear plugs and a noise machine couldn't drown out the noise and vibration from the trucks. My husband can sleep through anything and he found it hard to fall and stay asleep. And if that doesn't keep you awake then the paper thin curtains and the blinding globe light outside the window will. I think the family is trying to make it the best it the best they can but I have stayed at cheaper places and had a better experience. Third, the bed tried to eat us when we slept. The bed was so soft we sank in it and the fitted sheet wouldn't stay on it while we slept. My suggestion for anyone coming to bryce is to stay at the best western across the street from Ruby's Inn or do bryce during the day and then drive to zion and stay the night, the "scenic byway" from bryce to zion was hardly scenic. Ruby's Inn restaurant is awesome if you're looking for good food. In panguitch the only places we found open to serve food was an Arby's in a gas station and red fox cafe also attached to a gas station. Not worth it, just stay at bryce city next to canyon and pay more money.

We sure feel bad that we couldn't help make this couple have a more pleasant stay. Sometimes most guest can have options to as which rooms they can choose to stay in and we get some guest who will request a room furthure away from the road. We are only a 10 room motel and when we are full last person gets whats left. We are located right on Highway 89 / Main Street Panguitch, Utah, and truth be told all motels in Panguitch are located right on Highway 89 in Panguitch. Hope we can serve them again someday.

The owners were very accommodating to my family - we came into town after they close their front office but they made special arrangements for us and had our room all ready and warmed up for us (we were there in December). They remembered the pack n'play we needed and it was cozy little room. We were in room #8, and my only complaint was there was a door in the closet which we had no idea where it went (there was a dresser in front of it) and every so often there would be a loud banging noise coming from that general area that would wake our baby up. It sounded like someone slamming a door, I am thinking it was the furnace kicking on and off? Not sure, but if you are coming in the summer, this probably wouldn't be an issue.
Beds were comfortable, room was clean and it was a good place to stay for one night. We appreciated the fact that they were open during the winter months as a lot of the hotels close down for the winter.

The door in the closet is the water heater closet. We don't like how the motel was designed but we hope in the near future we will beable to have better layouts of our rooms so they will be more accomodating and pleasing to our guest. We always want our guest to be comfortable, so caling ahead we can make arrangements on heating or coolong our rooms or having extra towells or blankets if needed.

Stayed here with family & friends in July 2013 - on way to Bryce Canyon.
Great location, friendly staff, clean and cozy rooms (just fine for 2 adults & 2 kids), parking right in front of the door (= convenience for un/loading luggage).
Overall great value for money.
