So very disappointed in this place. It cost $60 round trip taxi to get there from Park City and it's only 10 mine away. Rip off! We got there and they told us the snow wasn't good that day so we tried one run and didn't even get halfway down. Such a disappointment for our son. Advice is to call ahead and make sure the snow is good!

We just got back from doing two hours at each of these parks this week. Both days were sunny and in the mid-40's although it felt warmer. We had snow pants and lots of layers that we shedded throughout the time. Here is our comparison:

Location: We stayed in Kimball Junction so the edge goes to Gorgoza for the shorter drive, although the drive to Solider Hollow (SH) was beautiful.

Ticket Lines: Both were not bad, we reserved SH in advance. For both you can save a few minutes by printing and signing the waivers in advance.

Getting to the top of the hill: I liked SH better, but my kids like Gorgoza. At SH you have to walk a couple minutes in the snow, then one conveyor belt takes you to the top. It is slow and relaxing as you sit in your tube. At Gorgoza you take one belt while standing holding your tube then you wait in another line till you get to the belt where you can sit in your tube.

Riding down: It could have been the conditions that day, but we all liked Gorgoza better. The runs were faster. Gorgoza also has shorter lanes that have less of a wait. Also, on the day we went to SH we had fast rides, but a lot of kids got stuck going down due to the slow snow. SH did have more bumps which we liked.

Atmosphere: We liked SH better for the music, they fixed number of people and the friendly staff.

Overall it was close, but my kids give the edge to Gorgoza.

Very well run. We didn't encounter any excessive lines, and that was with a school bus of kids that arrived shortly after we did. We also used the short ski run with our 3 year old, and found it to be the perfect slope for a small child

We went to Gorgoza since we don't ski or board. It's well run, everyone was very friendly and the conveyor system is just cool to admire. For 2 adults though, it's just not thrilling. Fun 1-2 times but not steep or awfully fast. I would recommend going, but know what you are getting into.

The teenagers in our large group really liked this, but a couple of them got very chilled. Bring lots of extra layers to put on if it is at all cold
