We liked the location of the The Canyons Resort. We had a fun time with the family skiing at The Canyons. We will definitely return for another family ski vacation trip at The Canyons.

if you are familiar with this resort then maybe you had an easier time, but skiing in slush, many runs closed and no way down except a difficult run (double blue or black) does not help the beginner skier.

Ok - check skiing off my bucket list! The Canyons was a good place to start. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. I had 4 different instructors over the 2 days and they did a super job. Nathan, the guy who was in charge of the Magic Carpet at "Sweet Pea Run" was the BEST. He had 1 arm in a sling but he worked harder than anyone up there keeping the carpet clean and he was so friendly and encouraging. I was impressed with their meals at Red Bud Lodge - I mean everyone eats at noon and they make it look easy serving all of us. The guys on the gondola were super helpful, the ticket sellers for ski school were super nice, and the guys who parked our car, got it, parked it again, got it - were so helpful. I really can recommend the Canyons for their facilities, staff, and ammenities - it was awesome for a first time skier. Of course beautiful snow on March 19 and 20 made it extra special.

Cloud Dine and Lookout Cabin were great lunch spots. Skip Red Pine Lodge. Ski instructors were great!

This area is wonderful in all seasons. The skiing/boarding is terrific and the scenic views in the fall are not to be missed! It's a very good chance you may even see moose if you choose to take a hike in the summer or fall. There are plenty of condos for rent in the area as well.
