“Best Ski School for Kids!”
Reviewed 25 March 2014

We enrolled our twin 6 year olds again this year at the Canyons and could not be happier! Last year, we had them at Deer Valley (excellent experience), Park City (TERRIBLE ski school!!) and the last few days at the Canyons and both last year and this year we were very impressed with their operations from start to finish! I am not sure why on Trip Advisor reviewer (Darren B) mentioned that they do not separate kids by ability because it is clear that they do, but our experiences have been fantastic!!!! The Canyons really takes care of the little ones and the instructors we have had are all very experienced with the little ones and really seem to like spending time with children, which is critical to them enjoying the sport.

Their first two days this season were spent refining the skills they learned last year, but on the third day they advanced to a level I had never dreamed of and it was 100% because of the great work by Victoria! She had them on blue runs all day and by the end of the day they were "solid blue" skiers. They even did their first black trail and the natural half pipe and only wanted more and more.

The Canyons takes safety very seriously, unlike Park City where our children actually rode the lift alone once, which was unforgivable and the reason we would never send them there again. Everyone at the Canyons is top notch and I could not recommend them more. THANK YOU CANYONS and ESPECIALLY YOU, VICTORIA for turning our twins in to little downhillers!!!

We are looking forward to our last two days this week and to coming back every year!!!

“Great experience”

Everything about this place is well planned out. Great for the beginners or experts. No lines or very small lines. Huge areas to ski or snowboard.

“Great skiing good parking”
Reviewed 23 March 2014

The skiing was great. The only downfall to my visit was that one of the lifts was having issues so they closed it early and we never made it to some runs my friend wanted us to try. There's no need to spend money on close parking. There was ample space in a remote parking area complete with ticket office and a gandola up to the base.

“Majestic and challenging”
Reviewed 19 March 2014 via mobile

The canyons provided us with the perfect day of skiing . All the guides were helpful, the scenery amazing and the slopes perfect for all abilities. The BBQ place at tombstone grill next to the lift was delicious , filling and fun. The sunshine was a bonus.

“Huge ski resort with lots of options for everyone!”
Reviewed 18 March 2014

This is the largest ski resort in Utah according to The Canyons, and I believe it! More than 4,000 acres of skiable terrain for all abilities with lots of long runs.

Outstanding ski terrain for the most part. Friendly staff, short lift lines.

* Food prices are astronomical -- $19 for a burger at the top of the mountain without fries or soda! For a better option, head to the base area and choose one of the restaurants there -- a good burger, fries and soda could be had for less than $20 at Drafts.
* The Canyons could do a better job with grooming -- I expected a lot more terrain to be groomed based on my experiences with other Vail Resorts properties. It appeared the resort only grooms two or three runs off each lift on a nightly basis.
* Ski area didn't open until 9 am. A lot of other areas open at 8 or 8:30 am.
