“Delightful!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 May 2014 via mobile

We attended the performance of Driving Miss Daisy last evening. This is a limited run from the Neil Simon Festival, ending Monday evening, May 25. The performance was top notch, and I recommend anyone staying in Park City over this Memorial Day weekend to spend a couple of hours in this little gem of a theater.

Thank you for posting a timely review, encouraging others to come to the theatre and enjoy the performance, as you did. You make my job easier!
The Neil Simon Festival did put on a top-notch performance of "Driving Miss Daisy" last weekend. We're sorry it came and went so fast, but are happy that they will be back in August with 2 Neil Simon plays.
If you find yourself in Park City again, please check us out again. Happy Travels.

“Tremendous asset.”

Always delighted with the productions. High quality....not small town as one would expect in a town the size of Park City.

“A Classic Theatre that has Fun”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 May 2014

Went to see a folk artist with no expectations and was surprised to find an old classic theatre with a cool vibe. Acoustics are quite good. Small theatre so it is intimate with the performer. Look forward to going back often. If you are visitor go see a show if it fits your visit. Enjoy a small mountain town's history and culture.

“lovely and unique”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 April 2014

The Egyptian Theater is on Main Street in downtown Park City, UT. It features plays and concerts. It seats a couple hundred people, has a small lobby, and is an elegant, local, unique place, built in 1926 and preserved by dedicated volunteers. This sort of place in other towns has been torn down or closed up, but in Park City, it's alive and well, and the town is better for it. I'll be seeing the songwriter Jimmy Webb there in June, while the other night I saw singer/songwriter Karla Bonoff perform to a polite, receptive, and packed house. In the past I've seen a couple plays at the Egyptian. If you're driving, park in the big parking garage on the street behind Main Street. Book your tickets in advance. I think the prices are reasonable--for fourth row seats, I paid 25 bucks for the Bonoff concert. Given the theater's size, I'd say that every seat is a decent one in terms of being able to see the stage. You can imagine all of the movies and performers who have graced that nice little stage since 1926. If you have a chance to catch a performance at the Egyptian, give it a chance!

“Great venue for local theater”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 March 2014 via mobile

We saw local production of My Fair Lady recently and Chicago last year. Great cozy venue with good acoustics. Love to support local theater! Be sure to check them out when you are in town. You won't be disappointed.
