This is a great family resort. We spent a week here in July with 2 small children & it was perfect for us. The pool is pretty big & right at the base of the mountain- it was great in the summer & would be spectacular during ski season. The units are very nice, exactly what you would expect from a Marriott property. The only complaint we have is that the pool was very cold 5 of the 7 days we were here, and the activities for kids were plentiful but a bit disorganized. If you are looking for a great family spot this is it- if you're looking for a quiet or romantic place this may not be the one as it is crawling with kids.

My family and I just stayed at this hotel and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was very clean, the rooms and lobby smelled good, the staff was kind and friendly. The area is gorgeous in park city. We went to do the activities at Olympic park, so the location for us was perfect especially since parking near the activities is very limited, it helped we could just walk outside our hotel. My only complaint is the pool. I think for the size of the hotel the pool is small. There is 7 hot tubs and 1 smaller pool and with it being summer the pool area was very crowded. Other than this we enjoyed our stay at the Marriott mountainside and would recommended it!

Everyone was very hospitable and the room was quite nice. Everything for this resort was centered at the resort with many activities, grills, a pool, and more. There was also a nice little carnival next to it with rides for little kids, a roller coaster, slides down the mountain, and zip lines. There was also free laundry machines and they provided one load of laundry detergent. Very close to a Wal-mart and several restaurants. There is no restaurant at the resort and the convenience store doesn't have many options. It was a nice place to stay during the summer. The views were breathtaking. It had free wi-fi and my husband logged on easily with his iPhone, but I could never get on with my Android.

Room Tip: We had the small room with the kitchenette. It was nice and held our family of four pretty comfortably. We spend most of our time outside of the room anyway.

Second time we have stayed at the Marriott Mountainside Resort. We love the little marmots running all over the mountain. Some things are better some stay the same. New carpets throughout the hallways. No longer smells like musty socks. Service is young but very friendly. Maid service is well appointed. Location can 't be beat during the day as the activities are right new door. Buy the day passes on line as you save 10 percent. The restaurants at the mountain close at 7:00 except for a Mexican restaurant. There snack shop is open 24 hours. The con for our small family was the pool which is overrun by kid mainiacs with parents who don't supervise them. The hot tubs are full on 5 year olds. If you want a quiet room ask for one on the mountainside away from the pool. The rooms are really a solid 4.

As Marriott Vacation Club owners we chose this property for a summer getaway. Although not as plush as other resorts we had a nice stay. It is about a mile walk into the shopping/dining area of town. Our biggest complaint is that there is no adult only pool and the lone pool was swamped with children. Staff was pleasant and the hotel is pretty well maintained although the windows need a good washing.
