My wife and I recently celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary. Because time and other plans would not permit a distant vacation, I decided to book a room at Hotel Park City (just 45 minutes from where we live.) From the second we arrived we were in absolute awe of the beauty of the hotel, inside and out. The staff is hands down, the most kind and professional I have ever encountered. They kindly welcomed my wife and I, and told us of all the onsite amenities (huge selection) They made it clear to us that we could count on them for anything we needed throughout our stay. After directing us to our room, we found plenty of parking in their underground and completely secure parking garage. From there is was a short walk to our room. From what I understand, I had booked one of their less expensive rooms, from the second we arrived at our door, I would have thought it was one of their very best, high-end suites. One step into the room and my wife and I were completely amazed at how nice our room was. From the beautiful travertine shower with body sprays to the huge jetted tub. From the gas fireplace and deck to the multiple flat screen TVs equipped with Bose surround sound. It had a fully equipped kitchenette (Sub Zero fridge, dishwasher, sink, microwave and stove) with beautiful cabinets filled with all the pots and pans, dishes and plates that you might need to prepare a meal. I was happy because there was nice big, glass popcorn bowl and salt/pepper for my microwave popcorn I have to eat when I watch movies. We both loved the warm mountain style décor and every square foot of the room. Since we had a few hours before our dinner reservation, we strolled around the hotel and grounds. We were amazed at how EVERYTHING was in tip-top shape. There was not a single thing out of place or needing upkeep of any kind. We went back to our room and made the mistake of plopping down on the bed to relax for a minute. It was by far the most comfortable bed and linens that I have ever slept in, Neither one of us wanted to get up.
We finally made it to our reservation at the on-site Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and had an absolute delicious and romantic dinner. We were seated next to a huge window with amazing views of the ski slopes that were illuminated in the night and very nicely lighted trees on the hotel property. They had a local singer there that played and sang a very nice selection of songs. She had a great voice and the volume was perfect. After dinner we retired to our room and sat by the warm fireplace and watched a favorite movie. We slept amazing that night and both commented how quite the room was. No noise from outside the building and no noise from people walking or talking in the hallways. It was, by far, the very best overnight stay we have had anywhere, our only regret is that we could not stay for a longer time and try out other amenities such as the pool or hot tub, but it gives us a good reason to go back.
Thanks Hotel Park City and staff. We look forward to staying there again soon.
