w/o the safety bar--ski rest, it was too long of a ride to the top. opted for free bus to resort and took other lifts.
unfortunately, conditions didn't allow us to ski back either!

A great alternative to the base area. We were staying in Deer Valley and were driving to Park City when we saw the parking garage right below the Town Lift.. While you need to pay to park there ($12 for the day) it was worth it - gear up, ride the elevator to the lift level, but your lift tickets and off you go! Be prepared, however - the chair is slow and the ride is long! We were expecting a short hop, but it takes you fairly high up the mountain. And on a warm day, the trail back can be a bit challenging.

By far, the best kept secret in PC...All needed facilities are right there...Avoid that huge snarl at the main complex...We stayed at a condo at the other end of Park street (the top) and walked down each morning, carrying ski boots and it took 15 min. Hauling skis that far would be a drag tho. There is parking down the stairs if you are driving. And right there is Ski rental (they will hold them for you at the end of the day), outside lockers for your shoes while you ski, Bridge Cafe, a Brazilian eatery which is very good but can get busy, especially at lunch, then you walk about 20 feet to the empty lift line and away you go!!! But WAIT! It gets better. When you ski off you walk 30 feet, drop of your skis, fetch your shoes out of the locker, carry your boots down the stairs, right into High West distillery for whiskey!! Try the chocolate pairing for sure. And don't forget the saloon is on the other side so you may not want to be int he restaurant part if you are just doing drinks. There is a living room type area by the bar... Very nice...But again...Don't tell anyone about this. Keep it to yourself!

Easy walk from the Inn to the lift...great restaurants and shops as you ski down at the end of the day

The Town Lift is a great convenience that opens up a lot of restaurant choices for lunch during the ski day. I try to work it to walk downhill from the restaurant to the lift. I guess I'm just lazy.
