Description: "Where's the beer? Where are the breweries?" Those were among the first thoughts Greg Schirf had after moving to Utah from Milwaukee in the early 80's. Incredibly, drinking and brewing were all but forbidden. Greg took matters into his own hands and did what any self-respecting midwesterner would do: He started a brewery. Wasatch was the very first brewery in Utah - and one of the first craft brewers in all of the U.S. - brewing award-winning brews since 1986. In 1988, Greg Schirf proposed another bill to the Utah Legislature making brewpubs legal in Utah and opened the first brewpub at the top of historic Main Street in the resort town of Park City. Wasatch continues to misbehave, turning out naughty beer after naughty beer year after year.

Your basic bar and grill here. What stands out is their view of the beer brewing process on the lower floor =]

Dear Gage,

Thanks for writing. While we agree that it is indeed fun to sit at the bar and watch our brewmasters at work, we also like to think that it is our beer that keeps guests coming back.

Hope you will visit us again soon.

Cheers!

We reserved an area for a party of about 25 people, wonderful time was had by all and the food was very good. Enjoyed the staff, friendly fun and attentive. The beer was very nice, and delicious. I'd really review it, but I drank enough to know the flavors at the end may not be getting the attention they deserved lol. I'd say this place is good for after a day on the slopes and before a night of bar hopping a bit. Enjoy!

Dear Terence,

We are very happy to hear that your party of 25 enjoyed themselves. Better come back again soon so that you can sample the beers that you didn't get the opportunity to try on your last visit.

Cheers!

We stopped in for a beer before dinner. Great atmosphere and a lot of the beer made right there in the small brewery behind the bar.
We got a 68oz growler of tap beer to go since my son wanted the bottle for his dorm room when it finished. $15 for the nice bottle full of good beer which is a pretty good deal.
The beer stayed cold in the trunk during dinner and was very good as we drank it that night. The impressive bottle made its way to the shelf of my son's apartment at school.
ran into a couple of fellow firefighters at the place and they say the place has been a great place to hang out all week when the wives wanted to shop main street. Firefighters usually a good judge of bars for some reason. LOL

Dear Pasdao,

Thanks for the great review - we love our Park City firefighters, and so any firefighter from anywhere is a friend of ours as well!

We're happy that you enjoyed your food and beer (and we agreed - the growlers are great!) and hope that you will come see us again - before, during or after your wives' shopping excursions!

Cheers!

Plan to book, but hope for a table in ,or indeed on,this busy ,noisy bar.. The extensive and delicious menu will have you salivating even if the extensive artisan beer choice doesn't ...but it will..I was helped by the most efficient (and only! ) bartender to decide on a light Mexican larger, which was fizzy, cold and refreshing and apparently just what I needed! He seemed to be able simultaneously to serve several people whilst taking orders, giving advice and making contact with all the folk sat at the bar.If only in England!! The wait staff in the restaurant proper worked hard and with cheer. A great place to recoup after a day on the slopes.
