“Fun, but not great.”
Reviewed 17 July 2014

We rode from Park City to Coalville, about 21 miles, with a tandem bike w/ baby seat, and five mountain bikes, one of which towed a double trailer for children. The first four miles out of Park City were paved and lots of fun. The rest was hard dirt, still downhill but pedaling was required. It took us about three and a half hours. Most of the trail was poorly maintained, overgrown with weeds. Areas of the trail are used by horses and are very bumpy! We were fighting wind some of the time as well, which at times was nice for the breeze. Overall we had a good time, but we have ridden other rail trails and comparatively this one wasn't as well maintained, fun, or scenic.

“This is a lovely ride”
Reviewed 14 July 2014

Though you can certainly do this on your own, we had a great experience with All Seasons Adventures with equipment and a guide, who carried water and pointed out places of interest along the way

“Rail Trail is a great reasonably flat biking, walking, jogging adventure.”
Reviewed 30 June 2014

The Rail Trail is really the old railroad bed that served Park City for years. It is a well maintained trail that can give you miles and miles of exercise. If you are up to it, you can ride to Echo Junction about 30 miles away. If you go the longer distance, remember that it is up-hill all the way back to Park City!! We were totally tired by the time we arrived back at the end of the day.

“Great for running!”
Reviewed 31 March 2014

Went for a run each morning and I loved running on the trail. Usually was dark out, so it was great to not have to worry about cars.

“Not impressed until I got 5 miles from town”
Reviewed 13 March 2014

Did this last summer and I wasn't impressed until I got 5 miles from town where the scenery got more interesting.
