The Prehistoric Museum in Price, Utah is a wonderful museum with great displays of dinosaurs bones and dinosaur tracks (and a wonderful explanation of how dinosaur track fossils originated). Other topics included displays about the Fremont and Anasazi Indians.

We stopped here on our way from Moab to Provo. This is a really great museum. It's not fancy but they provide lots of information in good displays. Dinosaurs and the early peoples of Utah are covered. Both featured interesting topics not usually covered in similar museums.

There are many interesting exhibits and information centers about Utah's past in this little museum. They are working on updating exhibits and are very willing to answer questions.

This is well worth a stop! The museum is divided into archaeology and paleontology halves and both have excellent collections on display. The archaeology side concentrates on the local Fremont Culture and has many unique items. The paleontology is more state-wide but emphasizes items from the nearby Cleveland-Lloyd dinosaur site. Both sides have good and informative exhibit labels and should appeal to all ages. The open lab concept is well done here. The gift shop is quite good, especially in books and learning materials. Like many smaller museums this one is a bit dated but they are making serious and concerted efforts to update and improve their exhibits. One suspects that their major problem is available funds, so donate if you can!

Well worth the money, for this museum. The actual pieces that they have on display rival those of the Chicago and other museums. Raptors, footprints from the Utah coal mines, newly discovered bones less than 10 years ago! Tons of stuff to hold my interest, that's for sure. 2 floors---also highlight the fremont and Anasazi peoples and their mark left in this area of the state. Clean indoor bathroom (very rare---even the National Parks don't have those!) and small gift shop.
