Old Rock Church Bed & Breakfast
Ranked #1 of 1 Providence B&B and Inns
Reviewed 8 September 2012

My husband and I have been married for 7 years and we have been going to Providence Inn ever since. We try to go once a year for all different occasions. Valentines day, Anniversary, Birthday get away, and just because when we need time away to ourselves. The service is always really great and the people that work there are very friendly and welcoming. We live in Salt Lake City, Utah and it's just far enough that we get that wide open spaces feeling. We have been to several different bed and breakfasts around Utah and this one by far has the best breakfast! We would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a nice relaxing experience.

Room Tip: Higher floors have less noise and better view.

We recently were flying through Salt Lake City when traveling to Yellowstone and at the end of our trip we booked two rooms at the Providence B&B in Providence, Utah. This is less than an hour from the airport in Salt Lake and a good connection. And the Inn is great. You will never find friendlier people than here in Providence. The rooms were exceptional. Great kind bed and a double jacuzzi in each suite. After a week in Yellowstone with nothing but a shower, it sure felt good to relax in the jacuzzi. For breakfast you can order anything you want from there substantial menu and they have several egg dishes and french toast and stuffed french toast. One thing to be mindful off, not the easiest place to find. Our Garmin Yuvi got lost and we had to turn to Yelp. But it is in a very quiet neighborhood but still close enough to get to restaurants.

Room Tip: Plan to eat a big breakfast here and take time to walk the beautiful grounds.

My wife and I have been traveling up to the Providence Inn for 20 years. It is just far enough from Salt Lake City for us to feel like we have gone away for the weekend. We have stayed in almost every room over the years and love the place. If you like a place with character, a quiet getaway, and a historical past in safe little small town, it is ideal. Breakfast in bed in some of larger rooms is ideal. It has been our special romantic getaway!

Room Tip: go online and look at the different rooms. The bridal suite is our favorite.

Our stay here was wonderful. I loved the feel and the decor. When we checked into one of the smaller rooms (old mill pond) and realized it was not what we were hoping for on our anniversary they upgraded us to the Redwood suite without any extra charge. We LOVE the Redwood Suite! The food was fantastic and the experience was amazing! We came back the next year and stayed in the new orleans suite and also loved it. We will definitely be back.

Room Tip: If you are going for your anniversary book one of the suites. The pictures do not do the redwood su...

My wife and I loved the english cottage room. Reasonable price especially if you ask about a deal during the middle of the week. Large room & classy. The service was astounding. Yummy complimentary cookies and popcorn. Staff was extremely nice when helping to find a lost key.

The Providence Inn Bed and Breakfast is honestly one of the best places I've ever chosen to stay. It has an incredibly different and very pleasant feel compared to any regular hotel. At a chain hotel you feel like just another face to the employees, all the rooms exactly the same, nothing different or exciting. But at Providence Inn, they made my wife and I feel like we were family. The staff was super polite, happy, and ready to help us with anything we needed, even in the middle of the night. My wife and I got back after midnight and we decided we wanted to watch one of their large selection of movies with complimentary popcorn. The young man that was there not only helped us with everything we needed, but did it all with a smile on his face and cheeriness in his voice, even at that late hour.

Our breakfast in the morning was fantastic and punctual. We had it ordered to our room and it was there exactly at the time we asked for. The raspberry french toast was AMAZING! I wanted seconds!

We stayed in the English Cottage, a great room, ground floor, away from the other rooms, with no one above us. Well furnished, large bed, very large bathroom, new TV and blu-ray player, we were very impressed.

If you are staying the Logan area, choose Providence Inn, only a few minutes away. My wife and I will definitely be back!

The Inn is very quaint for an old church. Loved the sitting rooms and breakfast parlor. We stayed in the Victorian room and enjoyed the romantic atmosphere. Because it is such an old building, it does have a little bit of a musty smell, but that is usually to be expected. Got used to it quickly. Delicious breakfast. Very pleasant, good service and hospitality.

Thank you for staying with us and coming all the way from Afton, Wy. We were delighted to have you with us. We work very hard on our famous made-to-order breakfast and are very glad you enjoyed it.
Yes, an 86 year old building (the Old Rock Church will be 146 this year!) will have it's quirks and we are doing our best to correct any odor issues associated with such a historic property. Thank you for letting us know and giving an honest review.

Come see us again soon!
