Affordable hotel with good and quiet location near the interstate. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was just right. The room was clean and nice and had free internet access. No dislikes.

This independent-family owned and operated hotel is doing everything right.
Gets our Golden Award for best hotel in the entire West.

We were greeted cheerfully and treated with sincerity. We drove in around 7pm on Sunday night we were grumpy and tired as usual and looking for a “deal”. Without quibble we got the best rate the agent could give (which was less than the online price for Motel 8-so it was a really good deal) we were delighted. Nothing makes us pissier then seeing a half empty hotel refuse to lower a rate and earn your business right at the desk.

The interior is very well done, recent complete remodel with new windows and carpet ect. The paint in luxurious gold tones with navy accents-it’s the nicest independently owned hospitality business I have been in, everything is super clean!

The room is typical king bed, but pretty comfortable-I would vote for nicer sheets & towels they were thin, but clean! And were just fine, had 4 pillows on the King bed…wow what a concept. Room had table, fridge, micro and full size TV ect. Everything you need, plus 4 packs of coffee, cups, soap it was plenty, no need to have to ask for more. Did I mention clean…really clean. We slept well, it was dead quiet, so I can’t tell if it was because we were the only ones on the 2nd floor or if there is no noise at all. Room heater is fine, very warm but noisy. So we heated the room up and slept to silence…very sweet.

In the morning we were greeted with that same congeniality by the same manager that checked us in almost 12 hours earlier. We had to ask and sure enough she was just getting off shift her relief on its way. So not only was she nice, she was nice after staying up all night working and had not taken on the familiar “off the clock” attitude. That’s a big deal.

Breakfast is a serve yourself simple cereal, juice, coffee, toast, bagel ect. They have a waffle machine for “warm” and it was great. Nothing fancy. The relief arrived and was as gracious as his co-worker (manager), bustling around filling the breakfast area and warmly checking on each table to see if we had everything….um that’s called care and concern for others. Isn’t that a golden rule too? It’s a golden way to get the gold if you ask me. That may very well be why the rich gold color of the walls fits in so well.

On the way out, I told them I would write a nice review an asked if I could take the agent’s picture…she was gracious (remember she is the one who still has not been to bed now for 13+ hour graveyard shift). Then the managers insisted I get a shot of the fitness room, which is very nice, new and clean, made sure I got a shot of the pool yes again clean and well kept, and offered to have me take pictures of other rooms and I refused-mine was great and I didn’t expect any difference.

What we liked best is the way business is managed at this little Richfield Utah hotel. It is rare to find independent hotels even these chains that are well run, clean and affordable. It is enevitable you give up one of those key ingredients.
The Richfield Best Western’s persona is deeply seated in commitment to service, pride of ownership, and living the American dream. We love independent business that just shines above the corporate owned swamp we are living in. This hotel is a sweet story of good ol fashioned work done well. I hope they make buckets of Gold!

Thank you for a nice stay.
Menopausal Testy Traveler.

PS. I could not put all my pictures online but they are all the same...nice and clean!

We found this place on Google earth read all the reviews in trip advisor. Our experience was very different to the reviews.
When we booked the room we were asked for any preferences, which we had, a quiet room away from any main roads. When we arrived we checked to make sure we had a quiet room away from the road and we were guaranteed that we had what we asked for, a quiet room. When we looked out of our room window the main road was out side. Consequently fast moving trucks on the freeway woke us at 4.15am. Next morning we asked to be moved to a room away from the freeway but was refused.
The hotel is a family owned hotel and after asking to be moved we felt they were watching our every move. It gave us the creeps! Couldn’t wait to leave won’t be going back…Ever!

The hotel owner was very rude, my son was hurt on his hotel property and he refused to tell us the location of the hospital, and also refused to call 911 while my son is in desperate need of medical attention, He then screamed at us, then said finally he would pay the hospital bill and then backed out of it.
This hotel is very unsafe the portable basketball stand fell on my sons head because they did not fill the base with water.
Then they are very rude to people. they dont have a elevator and they do not offer help. I would not stay there again it they paid me to

We decided to go south of Salt Lake City after finishing our touring there to avoid the road construction and get us closer to Bryce Canyon. This place was clean, well kept and convenient to the highway. It was nothing fancy but it met our need for a quick overnight stop. The room was big enough and the water pressure was good. The continental breakfast was great if you got there early but they did not replace things like sausage and eggs if you arrived too late. Not a bad stay at all.

Hotel also has indoor pool and jacuzzi. Staff was freindly and helpful. Price was excellent too! Would definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed the soft pillows, nice bedding and towels. The room was modestly, but very nicely done. (Only a few cable channels, though.) The best thing about our stay was the breakfast. Hot waffles, any kind of toast with all the toppings, muffins, instant oatmeal, juices, coffee, and three kinds of fruit. We didn't have to eat lunch for hours.
