Always extremely satisfied when staying at the Hampton in St. George, UT It is about the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in and have a great location and everything we need. Wish they offered an AARP discount or other discounts (besides military which we cannot take advance of). No unpleasant surprises here.

We had a wonderful time at this property. Everyone working there was so nice and helpful and the breakfast staff is awesome. The pools are nice, even in March, but they were a little over chlorinated. We stayed over Spring Break, and if we come back to St. George, it will be over a different weekend. The breakfast in the morning has a variety of different things to choose from and their "hot" items were different every day.

We were driving across country on a college tour and exhausted. The Hampton Inn was the best stay we had from all the various hotels along the way. Clean and quiet rooms. VERY COMFORTABLE beds…and I am picky. The breakfast included also made this by far the best value. We would highly recommend!

But....
Maybe if we'd stayed on another weekend my review would be different. We stay at Hampton Inn's quite a bit because both of our children play travel sports, so we're on the road a lot. Usually they provide good service and comfortable rooms for the money.

The pros:

Nice clean room, good comfy bed, larger bathroom with a few extras we don't normally see in Hampton Inn's, like an amenity kit, mouthwash, storage for toiletries, which was nice. Good privacy and blackout blinds, good sized desk space for computer, easily accessible internet service, plenty of lamps and lights, comfy couch in our king room. Good front desk service and a decent breakfast area with the usual Hilton choices.

The cons:

Unbeknownst to us, there was a dance competition in town the same weekend. The place was filled with children, running up and down the corridors, at all times of the day and night. I remember when my kids were smaller and I know it can be a hassle keeping them occupied in small hotel rooms, but my beef is more with the hotel management. If you know you have a number of people in for a certain event, wouldn't it be smart to put them on the same floor or on one side of the building and in close proximity to each other and leave the other side of the hotel for other guests. I asked for a high floor, which I always do so there's no one running around above us, but the front desk said they could not accommodate that. We were on the 3rd floor and directly above us was a family with a small child who screamed and cried and ran around. While I have sympathy with a parent who has an unhappy baby or toddler, I was not very happy at being woken up early with banging and screaming. Unfortunately, to add insult to all of this, we were right by the ice machine which was very loud, as was the fridge in our room which made a noise all night. I think this was the noisiest hotel I have ever stayed in! Maybe the structure was partly to blame as the walls seemed so thin. We could hear everything said in the next room.

The hotel is close to the heart of St. George and there are many restaurant choices available, mostly of the fast food variety, but a few healthier places to eat too. Cappelettis was good; we went for lunch and the food was very good and the prices were great. George's Pub is good for a late night supper as it's open until midnight.

The breakfast was great and the breakfast ladies were especially wonderful. The Hotel was crowded and they cleaned up so quickly giving many others the opportunity to eat in a clean place without waiting very long. They were quick to help clean up the spilled orange juice.
Thanks Hampton

Room Tip: A great place to stay in St. George
