Stayed at the Chalet on a very busy weekend and still had the attention needed for the small things that mattered. Could not have asked for a cleaner room and more friendly staff, almost like
staying at home.(I think this is run by a family)

We stayed here while visiting Zion due to other reviews on TA. It was okay, served its purpose. We needed a room for 5 adults and they had one room with 3 queen beds, which worked out great. It is near many food places and easy to find. It's nothing fancy, but it worked okay.

This little motel stands out of the standard choices you find in every city and is very much worth a visit.
Our room was clean, nice and had everything you would expect. In fact it had the softest towels of all the hotels we have been in so far. The people at the front desk are very friendly and helpful and are intersted in you and your journey.
The only thing that could be improved in my opinions are drapes for the windows. The blinds in our room let too much light through in the morning and I was awake before the alarm. No biggie though.

We arrived after a long day of travel and hiking at Zion, and ready to relax. We spent 10 minutes just trying to get someone's attention, then check in took at least 10 more minutes. The owner made it clear that if I got makeup on any towels she would charge us for them.
The room is nicely decorated, with granite countertops in the kitchenette and bathroom sink. We were perplexed that a full kitchen is provided, but not a pan, utensil, kitchen towel or even a paper towel to be had. Obviously we couldn't use the kitchen to cook. The table was cute but very sticky where it had been painted improperly. You wouldn't want to eat on it.
The room was arranged oddly, as others have commented below. Road noise is a problem, and forced us to leave a fan running each night.
If we were doing this trip over, we would have chosen to pay a little extra to stay in or near Zion. It appears nicer than it is.

We stayed at this little gem of a motel one night to participate in the Spectrum 10K race. It was one of the recommended race hotels. We were VERY lucky to get the last room available - not only at this motel, but in the whole town! Our room was the smallest size offered on-site, with one Queen-sized bed and a full leather couch. Technically, the couch pulls out to a full-sized mattress - but, the mattress is still encased in the plastic & never used since in it's current position the couch cannot pull out due to the large TV hutch in front of it. [NOTE: If you want to watch TV in bed, this particular room would not be a good choice.] Our daughter came with us at the last minute and she slept on the couch "as is" (not pulled out). She said it was very comfortable & had a good sleep. The mattress on the Queen bed in this room is extra firm. We personally like firm, so we had a good sleep.
Our room was very clean. It must have been recently remodeled. Newer carpet, nice bathroom upgrades and a fantastic HUGE kitchen area which included a full-sized refrigerator, 2 counter-top burners, full sink and microwave plus dining table & 4 chairs! This motel would definitely be a superb choice for a longer stay. Sadly, the motel doesn't offer a pool or a hot tub. That's the only "down side". But, you certainly can't beat the price! We paid $60 during a peak weekend, a third of what we would have paid elsewhere. So, if you're looking for a super clean economical stay, in a great location, with an in-room kitchen - This is your place!
The retired couple who live on-site and manage this property are lovely people. They were very nice and welcoming. They allowed us to have a later check-out time to accommodate our race.
We had no noise problems as a few others have complained about. Our room was located near the motel office at the back of the parking lot, main floor (away from the street).

Room Tip: Ask for a room further away from the main road to avoid noise.

My husband and I originally booked two nights at the Chalet Motel - one for a quick night's stay on our way to Bryce and one on our way back from Zion. We eventually cancelled the second night's stay and opted to sleep closer to Zion, which was a better choice for us.

For the money (we paid $55 plus tax) this is a great little motel. It is, however, on a busy street so those who are light sleepers may take issue with this. I was pleased to have a room as far from the traffic as possible. Not sure how quiet rooms would be closer to the street.

Our room was clean and updated in decor. One thing that is odd, however, is that our room came with a full kitchen (refrigerator, stove top, microwave, sink, etc) but not a single cup, dish, silverware, or cookware of any kind is in the cupboards. We discovered this after we decided to buy food at the grocery store and dine in for dinner. As a result, we had to go to the front desk and ask if they had any flatware or plates we could borrow. Thankfully they were kind enough to give us some paper plates and loan us some folks and knives. But why they would advertise rooms with kitchens or kitchenettes and then not have any amenities available to actually use the kitchen is a mystery to me. So if you like to save time and/or money by eating in, bring your own stuff.

There are nice dining options nearby on Main street. We would highly recommend Bear Paw for breakfast!

We stayed here for two nights during spring break so we could do some hiking and biking in the redrock canyons while spring makes up it's mind back home. We really enjoyed our visit here. The Chalet Motel is 42 miles from Zion Natl Park and about 12 miles from Snow Canyon State Park. It's on a busy street, but it's pretty quiet and we were able to sleep with our window open. There are many choices for eating nearby and a Smith's grocery (with gas) about a mile down the road to Snow Canyon. The staff is friendly and helpful. One reason we chose Chalet is because they had a full kitchen and the photos looked nice. There was one negative review but we disregarded it and we are glad we did. The kitchen is very nice and very modern. It is not furnished with any cookware or dishes, so we brought some with us. It was PERFECT for our needs and we feel that cooking some of our own meals really enhanced our stay. The overall impression of the room (107) was excellent! Keep in mind that this was a $49 a night room during spring break. The queen bed was comfortable and quiet. Everything seemed new and clean (except the tube tv, which we didn't use). Wi-fi worked well. There are granite counters in the kitchen and bath and the carpet was new and clean. There were no dresser drawers, but between the small closet and two drawers in the nightstand and plenty in the kitchen, we were fine. There's also a comfy couch and a small desk and chair and a nice (clean) table with two barstools for eating. We found the photos on the website to be accurate. This is a nice little place and we had a blast at Zion and Snow Canyon.
