An incredible find, a true jewel, a beautiful look at what small town cafes were all about before the Interstate Highways. We came for a quick breakfast but stayed for hours! It was a truly wonderful step back in time and reminded me of my first cross-country drive in 1963. The food was good, what you would expect from a roadside cafe; but the people were incredible friendly and the locals kept coming and going. The atmosphere was great with lot's of very interesting photos and memorabilia plastered all over the walls. (If you are looking for modern spotless decor with fancy meal preparations and hoards of plastic people - skip this place.) The dignified elderly owner, Mollie, walked over to every table to say hi to her customers. (How often have you experienced that?) Her granddaughter Jennie (Sp.?) is an amazing young lady sharp as a whip with a quick comeback for any remark. As a waitress she was impeccable. Make sure you stop and soak in the beauty and charm of small town America; depicted beautifully at Mollies Cafe.

Mollie's is a smaller home town cafe where the locals gather and the passers through feel extremely welcome! My husband and I stopped in on the way to Washington for breakfast and it was amazing! I had the country fried steak...it was REALLY pan fried, which at most places is not the case. Eggs were perfect, coffee great and most of all service was extremely friendy. We live about 100 miles from Mollie's and plan to make a Saturday trip with the family just to have a great breakfast!

We stopped in for breakfast in the midst of a 10 day motorcycle road trip. Mollie's is a classic greasy spoon in that it smells of grease & fried foods -- more so then other small town cafes we stopped at. The interior has plenty of character: booths, tables, memorabilia and lots of locals. The raspy voiced waitress was friendly and helpful, substituting pancakes for hash browns & toast when I told her that's what I wanted. The food was satisfying & filling. If you're on a road trip, stop in and feast on the small town flavor.
