“Another great meal at Sundance”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 April 2014 via mobile

The foundry grill is always excellent. This trip was no exception. I tried the Utah Steelhead Trout. It was served on butternut squash purée with sautéed kale and pumpkin seeds. The meal exceeded my expectation which is difficult to do especially in Utah where I live. I also started with the beet salad which was excellent also. Rebecca served us and did an excellent job. Usually we dine in the Tree Room next door but the food in the Grill will take us to Sundance even more.

“Relaxed and Gorgeous”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 March 2014

The Foundry Grill is about 20 minutes from Provo, Utah, a scenic drive up Provo Canyon. It's part of the Sundance Ski Resort, so there's lots going on around the restaurant---and lots of places to take a pre- or post-meal stroll.

We had reservations and were seated immediately. The room had a cozy feel, and though it looked to be a full house, our group of six was able to carry on a conversation throughout the meal.

Our waiter greeted us promptly, offering to bring drinks right away and to suggest some hors d'oeuvres. We opted for Wood Fire Roasted Cauliflower--an unusual but tasty choice. For the entre, my wife and I split the pizza of the day and a side order of sweet potato fries. It was plenty of food for the two of us---stretched even further when the waiter brought a basket of various breads to our table.

The Foundry Grill is a little pricey, but the setting is comfortable rustic, or modern western, or contemporary woodsy, or I'm not sure what to call it, but it was cozy, comfortable, and attractive. The food was delicious, service was attentive, and our evening very pleasant.

“Best way to refuel after a morning of skiing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 February 2014

Having seen the menu online I couldn't wait for lunchtime after skiing during the morning. I had the Muffaletta sandwich with garlic fries...excellent with a Bob's beer. We also had the Artisan greens and thought it was one of the best salads we'd ever had, the balance of ingredients and flavors worked great. Had a table next to the fireplace and the view and setting was perfect.
