Although not much to look at; Wimpy's Diner showcases some of the best food in the Uintah Basin. They have, almost, everything to satisfy any hungry belly. Great burgers, smooth shakes, crisp french fries. I'm hardly ever disappointed by the food. The current prices are acceptable. However feeding a hungry family can be pricey. Still the food is always cook-to-order and hardly ever stored. And depending on business can vary the time of waiting. Word of cation: If greasy food isn't your thing, you might want to try someplace else.
At the time of my visit the service in general was fantastic. Always there to help and serve. What more can I say?
The establishment itself isn't much to look at. It's small. Old. No landscaping surrounding the building (Dirt, dirt and more dirt). The tables inside can be a bit tight, depending on your own size. And the temperature is either too cold or too hot. A lot does factor into building temperature for a restaurant so I let that side. No windows apart from the entrance and kitchen. Don't let the dark fool you, it's cleaner than it looks. All in all the building isn't terribly aesthetically pleasing. But a good restaurant doesn't need to be.
Wimpy's Place is American in every sense of the word. Good old fashioned food for good old fashioned people. If you're hungry and have the time, or just want to break away from the hustle-bustle of modern life, give Wimpy's Place a try. Take it easy and enjoy the food.
