Stayed one night on a mid-week trip to grab some Heady Topper at The Alchemist in Waterbury. Barre is an easy 20-ish minute drive from there.
Checking in at the restaurant downstairs was fine. We had to wait with our bags for a minute while the hostess found the right server to get us checked in, but there was plenty of room and even a few loungey couches to wait comfortably. Very cute restaurant that was decorated well for Halloween - we wish we were around long enough to try the food.
Lots of steps up to the second floor but not difficult. Once you're checked in you have access to the side entrance so you don't have to come and go through the restaurant.
Room was very elaborately decorated, so there are lots of things to look at! Small kitchen with tiny fridge and microwave, small pub table with two stools, sitting area with setee and two chairs, then a funky wood room divider and a queen size bed. Loved the linens. TV is reasonably sized and has cable!
Bathroom is BIG. Shower with rails and seat (if needed) but no tub. Nice towels. Hairdryer provided.
Common area out in the hall with another million things to look at - suits of armor, old pics of the firehouse hose teams, red velvety couch, old advertisements on the walls - very cool!
Everything was super clean. Would definitely go back. No complaints!
