This is a well preserved bit of American history in a beautiful setting. Although the church was not open, the exterior and setting were magnificent. Located directly across the church is an unrestored inn from 1771 - a beautiful sight in a grayed wood, dilapidated way. Did I mention 1771?
Most of our time was spent wandering the large graveyard where many revolutionary war dead are buried, identified with plaques. Robert Frost's grave is also located there with signs leading it. Great epitaphs.
