This historical museum is much larger than it appears. There are several different rooms, focusing on different events and time periods. My favorite was the Grandma Moses wing. They really are special!!

You can visit the workshop in the back to learn the history and see how things are made. On the day we visited there was only one person was working but she was friendly. Be sure to visit the seconds in the store for discounted pottery.. but be careful for the prices add up very quickly!!

I have been traveling to Vermont for years and never stopped here. My mistake! Tons of awesome pottery and lots of nice things to buy for gifts. Picked up a cute Brie baking snack dish for a friend. Sorry I did not allow more time to spend in Bennington area. Will come back again soon to explore the area and will definitely go back to the pottery shop.
