If you're driving through Brandon, you must stop and get a sticky bun. They are fantastic. Really the best I've ever had, and if you could see my waistline, you'd know I've eaten a few! ;)

Lots of different pastries and coffee options, as well as a wine room and a room with soaps and lotions and other VT products.

Definitely worth a stop!

This is the place to have your cafe au lait and a sweet. There is an extensive selection of wines and gourmet food items. Don't overlook the gift section in the back room: lots of goodies from Provence in addition to "made in Vermont" products.

Get espresso here! Great pastries too - they're not too sweet; they had a delicious blackberry and cream croissant. The staff was friendly and on top of things.

Went up to Vermont this past week-end and discovered the Gourmet Provence Bakery and Wine Shop during a snack break in Brandon. Affiliated with Provence Cafe (which I hear is a fabulous place), it has its own separate location and its own wonderful ambience and foods. Stuffed with interesting things on the shelves and in the Wine Shop, it offers a variety of amazing freshly-made soups (we had two delightful ones: cream of broccoli and carrot/ginger, both of which were delicious) served with fresh bread, as well as other great goodies. A tight, small bar/stool area at the window allows you to eat inside, the staff is friendly, the town welcoming. I am so looking forward to a return visit and a longer look around.
