We stayed 3 nights in Battleboro on our travels through New England. This historic Art Deco hotel/theatre on the main towntown road was very quiet despite the traffic. Windows were double glazed, fans and windows did open for fresh air which we needed as it was quite hot. We were on the 3rd floor, so had great views of the Connecticut River and mountains. Our room was roomy, clean and comfy with a frig, tea & coffee making, TV. Breakfast was very ordinary. Staff were extremely helpful and cheery. Parking at the back of hotel was not secure, however we had no trouble. Great position to walk to cafes/pubs/restaurants and shops. Close walk across the bridge for great mountain walks. It is worth a look inside the theatre if you dont take in a movie.

Stayed one night, the staff is SUPER friendly, really make you feel welcome. The hotel is not fancy but very clean. The room was small, but you can tell they take great care in keeping it up. The location is great. We checked out the theater, its beautiful.

We liked the style of this hotel, which has the theatre attached. Rooms were clean and acceptable, and staff were nice and friendly. It is in a good location in downtown Brattleboro with most places of interest within easy walking distance. Parking was pretty good for a centrally situated small hotel and we had no difficulty at all with it. Breakfast was a bit on the skimpy side, but coffee was good. All in all a good value stay in a nie, quirky hotel

I really appreciate your review, thank you! Yes, parking is free and on a first come first serve basis. Our dream is to have double the parking but where is the question. however the parking is not shared with the theatre and for hotel guests only.

Let's not mistake a "hot" breakfast for "continental". Our breakfast is advertised as "continental" style and for continental our breakfast is not at all skimpy. Full hot breakfasts are served at several of our downtown cafes and we encourage guests to venture out and experience these eateries.

Looking forward to seeing you again.

This is a beautiful old hotel located above a beautiful old movie theatre, right in the heart of Brattleboro. The bed was very comfortable and we loved the art deco feel of the place. It would have received 5 stars but the water pressure in the showers were an issue, with it starting and stopping as others in the hotel flushed the toilet or ran their showers. They should modernize their plumbing! Also, there was very limited parking, probably because of the movie theater, and we had trouble finding a place to park for the evening. Even so, I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

We really enjoyed our three day stay in Brattleboro and thought that the Latchis was lovely. It was like something from another era and a welcome change from 'chain' hotels. Our room was comfortable and well appointed. The staff were all lovely and I would like to make special mention of the gentleman who kindly helped me out with my laundry, rather than just give me directions to the nearest laundromat! We would definitely come back.
